Stardew Valley

There's already more than enough to do and enjoy in Stardew Valley, but game creator ConcernedApe isn't done yet.

A new Version 1.4 update for the game has just become available for PC, Mac, and Linux, with Switch and other consoles set to follow "soon". The update brings plenty of quality-of-life features, bug fixes, and optimisation improvements, but there's also some exciting new content to discover.

Immediately jumping out to us is the tease of a new end-game mystery, which apparently involves an abandoned building. We don't know any more than that and wouldn't want to spoil it for you if we did, but it sounds intriguing.

More character events have also been added including a new 14-heart event for every spouse; the addition of Fish Ponds (a new farm building where you can raise fish and harvest items from them); a new farm map called Four Corners which is ideal for co-op players who want their own quadrant to live in; and plenty more besides. You can check out all of the changes here, although be warned that you'll see some game spoilers.
