During Masahiro Sakurai's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Terry Bogard demonstration video yesterday, it was revealed a new in-game tournament event would be starting this Friday. Of course, this is all to celebrate the SNK character's recent release.
This special event, titled "The Road to Becoming Fighting King" starts on 8th November and will run for a total of three days. During this event, you'll have to take on various other fighters in one-on-one stamina battles across Omega Form stages.
As you can see above, you'll encounter fighters like Ryu from the Street Fighter series, Little Mac from the Punch-Out!! series and the Terry Bogard version of the pink puffball, Kirby. I just want to know when are the Daemon X Machina stickers coming back??!!
Too bad they only have one-stock tournaments now, unlike the best of two or even three the Fatal Fury/KoF games are known for.

Terry is literally the face of that series, of course iori is not gonna be in, that's just common sense.

On the spirit board or in the shop? I tried the board last night but none of them showed up. I admit I have no clue how past event spirits work.

Actually, when you missed the previous event's Spirits, when you get the next Spirit board event, the number of Spirit count should update if you get the new Spirit from a previous or upcoming event. For example, if the Link's Awakening and Peachette Spirits appear on the Collection list, and you get the last of the tetromino Spirits, then the number of Spirits should increase to the latest number.
I have managed to miss a bunch of Spirits that were released in the events up until the tetromino ones, which probably gives me the chance of collecting the 15-20 something Spirits that I missed in past events, which makes 100% the game somewhat easier.
