Although the Switch still doesn't have a certain digital card game on it, there are still plenty of other ones to enjoy if you are a fan of this genre. One of these is Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission.
This Dimps-developed Bandai Namco title arrived on the Switch in April and will be receiving its fourth free update early next month. This includes 99 new cards, 10 new missions, 48 additional character illustrations and five more effects for Creation Mode. There'll also be new battle modules and accessories, and a new "Blast Away Swing" ability.
The new card sets include Universe Mission, God Mission, Shadow Dragon Mission, and Galaxy Mission. There'll be new UR cards based on the characters featured in the "Universe Mission 11" arcade version as well.
if you haven't played this game before, there's a demo you can download from the eShop. You can also check out our review.

Well, the lack of comments on this piece seems odd. It's a Dragon Ball game, its a trading card game, it has been getting free updates from release, my videos of the game remain popular on youtube, Dom gave the game a solid 7/10... so what gives? I know Dragon Ball does not carry the weight in the US and in the UK as in the rest of the world, but is there truly no one out there playing this one?
I played it a lot around its release time, but the lack of a loooot of older cards kind of rubbed me the wrong way about the game. It looks like they're updating the game with cards from the previous 'seasons' though, so that's a good thing.
I got excited when this game was announced to be coming over to the west and I was like "I'M GOING TO GET THIS GAME"
Aaaand I never did. Didn't have the time. I need to get it at some point.
Still playing and enjoying this one! I had no idea they were still releasing updates...the more the merrier!
@Shiryu
As a Dragon Ball fan, card games dont fit this genre as well as others. We are also very used to ridiculous plots, but when this plot is too ridiculous even for us, thats concerning. Lol
Own this game both on PC and Switch, personally I think a Dragon Ball card game is awesome, just like Attack of the Saiyans on the DS was great and it really needs a squeal. They need to try more genre types then just stick to fighting games.
@PBandSmelly I too prefer Dragon Ball FighterZ but I had not really played any TCG for decades so this remains quite fresh for me. It surprised me, even.
This update would be great, if I could play the game. I don't know whose bright idea it was to zoom in on the flashing colors for 10 seconds at a time, per character, but shame on them. The game literally gives me headaches if I play on the TV. If they could patch the zoom in as an option, I might start playing again.
@Shiryu
Fighterz is the only good Dragon Ball game. Yup Im ready for the thumbs downs.
@PBandSmelly Here is a <3 from me.
@Shiryu
I think the problem is, unlike certain other CCGs, this one is full-price admission, whereas the others are free-to-play.
I'm a huge DragonBall fan, and card game fan... but $60....
@SmaMan ah, never tough about it that way.
I do love that pretty much all modern DBZ games get like...A LOT of post-launch support.
