Fancy a new Zelda-like game while you wait for Nintendo to release the next big one? Then A Knight's Quest might be the game for you. Apart from being compared to Link's outings, it's a described as a modern take on classic adventures of old that's said to be funny, fresh and genuinely breathtaking.

It's being published by Curve Digital, developed by Sky 9 Games (with help from d3t - previously known for the Shenmue remasters) and will arrive on multiple platforms including the Switch this Fall for £19.99 / €24.99 / $24.99.

You'll take control of Rusty, who is a kind-hearted and clumsy adventurer who accidentally starts a chain of events which threaten to destroy the world. Of course, it's now his responsibility to save the world by solving "mind-bending" conundrums, fighting challenging enemies and defeating giant bosses as he platforms his way through the colourful kingdom of Regalia.

Rusty’s adventure will take him to the desert town of Zameris, high over the ice-laden Peaky Peaks and into the Cursed Swamp, among many others. Along the way, he’ll encounter a colourful cast of memorable characters which bring the world vividly to life.

The game contains roughly 30-hours of gameplay and promises to never feel bloated:

Many modern adventure games introduce all kinds of additional systems – ones which can often become fussy when players expect finesse. But A Knight’s Quest is an action adventure pure and simple. Combat is fast and fluid, and platforming a dream, with Rusty’s repertoire of acrobatic moves effortless to pull off. Playing the hero has never felt so rewarding.
