Lethal League

If you passed on Lethal League Blaze when it arrived on the Switch eShop last month, it might be worth taking another look at in the near future.

One of the game's team members at Team Reptile recently responded to a complaint over on Reddit about the Switch version's performance and reassured the community the game would soon be optimised:

We are working on more optimization. As we are still new to this certification process I cannot currently tell you when that will reach you.

And this was the team member's response to the part about the Switch being able to run 3D games perfectly fine:

"Can run fine" is a bit of an overstatement. Many games, even first party titles, seem to release with some performance issues that get patched later. It takes a lot more work optimizing for the switch and release deadlines are relentless.

If you are experiencing any problems, it's recommended you play the game in docked mode and turn off flashes and screen shake.

In our review, we gave Lethal League Blaze eight out of ten stars. Overlooking the above-mentioned performance concerns, the game has fantastic cel-shaded visuals, a funky soundtrack featuring Hideki Naganuma - famous for his work on Jet Set Radio and incredibly fun gameplay that's accessible to everyone.

You can even download a demo from the Switch eShop and see what it's like for yourself.
