We hope you really dig the idea of construction, because Construction Simulator 2 US - Console Edition is building up to a release on Switch. OK, that's all the puns safely out of our system.

"Due to popular demand", the game's Console Edition - which is currently available on PS4 and Xbox One - will now be playable on the go thanks to this new Switch release. Just like the original Construction Simulator 2 game which was available on smartphones and tablets, the Switch version will give players access to more than 40 originally licensed and faithfully recreated construction vehicles and machines by world-renowned manufacturers and brands.

You can play across handheld and TV modes, enjoying 60 "challenging" jobs which are made up of excavation missions, the delivery of construction materials, the steering of gigantic tower cranes, the pouring of concrete, the asphalting or refurbishment of roads, and more in the fictional US state of Westside Plains.

It's scheduled to launch "within the next couple of months", with more info set to be shared soon. If you happen to be attending Gamescom, you can go hands-on with the title at the astragon Entertainment booth in Hall 6.1, B-054.
