Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power is headed to Nintendo Switch next week, and a brand new trailer has been released to celebrate the announcement.

Unsurprisingly serving as the third game in the series, Trine 3 took the puzzle-platforming series in a new, 3D direction when it first launched on PC and PS4 back in 2015. The upcoming Trine 4 is taking the series back to its 2D roots, so this one will likely stand out as the oddball of the family going forward. Here's a feature list to give you a little more info:

Key Features:
- Experience a fairytale world of breathtaking sceneries and face a myriad of physics-based puzzles, wonderful contraptions, dangerous foes and enchanting creatures.
- Three playable characters, Pontius the Knight, Zoya the Thief and Amadeus the Wizard, each with their own skills and unique abilities
- Explore 7 story-driven Chapters and 11 puzzle-solving, skill-focused Lost Pages
- Online and local co-op multiplayer for up to three players

The game will be priced at $19.99 / 19.99€ / £17.99, will run at 900p/30fps docked and 720p/30fps in handheld mode, and releases on 29th July.

That's not all, though; Frozenbyte has confirmed that the retail collection 'Trine Series 1-3' which comes with the first three Trine games on one cartridge will be available in GameStop stores in North America from 20th September - it was originally planned to launch in spring 2019.

Are you a fan of the Trine series? Will you be picking up either of these releases? Let us know in the usual place.
