Limited Run continues to churn out physical releases like there's no tomorrow. The next one on the way is Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight. This action-platformer was originally released on the Switch eShop at the beginning of this year.
The fourth installment in the critically-acclaimed 2D platforming series will be available to pre-order from the LRG website on 7th June (aka. next Friday). Here's a look at the lovely box art this physical release will be packaged in:
Below is a brief description of the game from the Nintendo website and the Switch trailer:
Lead Kaho, a priestess from the village of Lun, as she seeks an audience with the Queen of Karst who can surely lift the curse from the land.
Combo and dodge through a lovingly crafted pixel art world full of monsters and bosses. Carve out your path to Castle Karst as you see fit and lift the curse that threatens all life in the kingdom.

This game I feel is so underrated. I’m more than likely going to buy this physical edition! I’m glad I waited to buy this on eshop specifically for this reason (I own it for PS4)
This is a double dipper for me—yes it’s that good; it’s got Hollow Knight vibes.
@LimitedRunGames
Come on, you don't make friends with salad. Where's the meat?
Unlike most games that use a pixel art aesthetic, I can actually see this one feasibly being a 16-bit game if I squint a bit. Definitely looks tempting...time to do some research!
Looks cool. I missed this one when it came to the eShop
I loved this game.
No review ?? How comes ??
Didn’t get the PS4 version from LRG. This time, I’ll be faster. determined anime gaze
Looks a bit slow and uninteresting to me, and the giant boss attacking it's breasts? Wow, really??
@Bunkerneath why not? big giant breasts are great!
Hmm, looks cool, but if this ends up being 3x the eshop price with shipping and tax then I’m out. 2x is about my limit unless I know I’m going to love the game.
Oh nice, this is one I was actually looking forward to after I saw it on GDQ.

This game is on my wishlist. I'd love to get a physical copy.
Is it by the same developers as Kamiko? That game has stunning pixel work.
@konbinilife
No, Kamiko is developed by Skipmore, who also developed the Fairune Collection.
does look a lot like kamiko which is no bad thing. I cant afford anything else now after pre ordering the beautiful dragons lair physical
@lemonjellydude
I'm going to be pre-ordering those two games together on June 7th, they'll be available simultaneously as it's the last day for Dragon's Lair.
I didn't pre-order Aegis Defenders, I tried the demo and didn't enjoy it much at all, I didn't even bother attempting the actual defense portion of the game as the game had serious performance issues that were actually nauseating.
@Solomon18 Sure if it’s meant to be tongue in cheek. I think this is meant to be taken seriously and I was laughing my ass off.
@Solomon18 I agree! Why the boobie hate? I just don't understand some people...
@konbinilife same people who hate rainbows
Great game (beat it several times already back in 2016) but not worthy (IMO) of a $35 physical premium to play it again for the portable factor. I would be playing it docked anyway and that's kinda pointless when my PC is right next to my Switch.
@RupeeClock its the first time ive pre-ordered a physical from limited games. The dragons lair box looks stunning a great collectors piece
@lemonjellydude
They do a nice job with their games and collector's editions, but keep in mind you will be waiting many, many months for that order to be fulfilled.
Keep an eye on production updates and see that your order gets fulfilled, sometimes you might need to contact support and chase up an order.
@RupeeClock Thanks for the advice! yeah I did notice its not due till October ( at the earliest) I can wait!
Since this is the 4th game in the series, will this be hard to follow for newcomers, or is each game different, sort of like Final Fantasy?
I might have to pick this up as it reviewed fairly well with most reviewers giving it an 8 or above. I'll just have to see what my wallet looks like for the 2 weeks it goes on preorder.
