Eastasiasoft has confirmed that Furwind, a platformer developed by Boomfire Games, will be headed to Nintendo Switch this summer.
The game has players taking control of a cute little fox as he explores a retro-inspired world full of dangerous platforms and ghoulish foes. You'll need to power yourself up to reach secret locations, heal your wounds, and blast your way through large bosses and their minions.
As you might have seen in the trailer above, PlayStation systems will benefit from a fancy limited physical release. While Switch isn't getting the same treatment, it will be getting a worldwide release digitally, with JanduSoft handling digital publishing in North America and Europe.
Here's a little more info for you:

Loving how well the visuals and the music go together!
Definitely keeping up with this one.
I noticed this when I saw their extra-limited physical print for PS4 and PS Vita coming to Play-asia soon.
It looks cute and fun, and I wouldn't mind grabbing this physical for Switch. Reminds me a little of Fox n Forests, if it went in a different direction.
Seems meh. Worth a good $15 I say.
Something about this doesn't quite grab me for some reason. Could be the main character sprite, as I'm not a big fan of that.
Oh look another "retro inspired" title. Can we get some modern looking indie games on the Switch too please?
Can't help feel a little disappointed that this is another pixel art style platformer and that it isn't getting a physical release on Switch.
@Monkeyofthefunk
It's already confirmed for a digital and physical release on the Switch.

Xbox One gets a digital only release however.
@RupeeClock here's hoping then, although in another tweet, Boomfire games replies 'in switch digital version, soon!' in response to a question if it's coming to Switch.
@sikthvash
That probably just means the digital version can be enjoyed in the coming weeks, and the physical version can be pre-ordered from Play-asia in the coming months.
Since it's eastasiasoft, it'll be through Play-asia for sure.
@RupeeClock Cool! Will hang fire until the reviews are in. Fox n Forests wasn't as well recieved as I hoped so it put me off a little. Still have Celeste and Owlboy to try at some point so there's no rush!
oh, no. another pixelart. and another 2d nes/snes style platformer. are people really still buying that kind of games?
More pixel art. Yay. :-/
this will surely and definitely not lead to any disturbing fan art
@RupeeClock Thanks.
The main character's animation seems really stiff, and below the quality the rest of the game shows... strange
I miss the 90s animal themed platformers. DKC, Crash, Spyro, Banjo, etc.
Looks okay. I hated the trailer. The text was way too fast. I needed to pause the video a couple times to read it. I didn't think I was a slow reader....maybe I am?
The character designs lag behind the background art. Should have hired a character specialist
Sorry, is the main villain called Darren?
Ah, another foxy platformer. Hopefully we will be getting Super Lucky's Tale soon too, I need to collect em' all!
This looks decent. Might give it a try at some point.
