It's been well-documented Goichi "Suda51" Suda wants to release another numbered installment in the No More Heroes series. At the end of Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes there's even an ending hinting at the future of the mainline series.

So, what's the status on the next entry? At the 2019 Game Developers Conference, Siliconera asked the founder of Grasshopper Manufacture about the conclusion of Travis Strikes Again and if it meant anything in particular. In reply, Suda said he hoped he would have "something cool to announce" around E3.

"I wonder what that was myself. It might be Travis messing around. [Laughs] I hope around E3 time I’ll have something cool to announce."

If the ending in Travis Strikes Again is anything to go by, the next installment in the No More Heroes series is probably "in development" already. If you're not sure what we're talking about, check out the game's ending in this video.
