In case you forgot, last August it was revealed Lizardcube and DotEmu - the studios behind the excellent Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap reboot - were reviving the classic side-scrolling Sega beat 'em up Streets of Rage.
While we're still waiting for platforms to be announced, Dotemu, Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games have revealed Streets of Rage 4 will be playable for the first time at PAX East this March. Keep in mind, the game has already appeared at PAX West. Here are the full details about its next outing:

That’s good, hopefully there will be new info for this game too. I want Skate/Sammy back as a playable character.
This makes me oh so happy to hear. I love Streets of Rage and can't wait for this entry. If everything goes well, I'm actually hoping for a new trilogy.
If it’s on Switch, sure.
Otherwise, can’t be bothered.
If I was at PAX East, would totally go straight to the booth to rev it up!
As long as it's not random battles, I'm in.
@shonenjump86
If they don’t have Skate and Max they’re making a huge mistake.
Looks fun, but I really hope they add a great new mechanic so it doesn't feel like it was just made for nostalgia sake, because I have all three games on my SNES Mini and if it's just more of the same I'll go back and play those.
Bring it to the Switch and of course I’ll purchase it!
As for the other characters, com’mon... It’s 2019, they’ll be added as DLC content, that’s how they get more money out of us! I hate it, but a great number of games have been doing this.
I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo were to drop another Nindie direct this month confirming that this game will be on Switch and advertising its presence at PAX.
(BTW my brother will be working at PAX this month, so hopefully he gets a chance to play this!)
@JaxonH is this game not confirmed for Nintendo Switch?
Edit: Nevermind, ilikeike answered my question for me!
Really hope this is switch bound (if not Xbox one). Perfect game for Nintendo's little console that could. A nice physical release would be good. SEGA need to really take stock and start pumping out some more classic IP. Would love a new monkey ball, crazy taxi, shinobi etc
A playable demo on the Switch would be great as well!
As for characters, make Adam playable again! I would love it if they could in fact bring all of the previously playable characters back, even if you have to unlock them first.
Switch and physical confirmation, please
I thought it was confirmed by the devs that it's going to release on all platforms (though I don't think that includes 3ds).
That said, if they have a playable demo for the event, I hope that means a release is coming soon - and a playable demo to tide us over soon?
@Spudtendo
SNES Mini? Are you confusing this series with Final Fight?
@rdrunner1178
No, but I have the Final Fight series on it too. c;
A friend of mine who is a big fan of this series is really hoping this game is good. I'm a more recent fan of the series and am looking forward to running through it with him.
No Max, no buy!!!!!
I’m kidding! But having Max is a super cool feature!
