We may well have just got Final Fantasy VII on Switch, but two more Final Fantasy games are also on the way in April. If you're thinking of picking them up, you might want to consider this particular offer from the Nintendo Official UK Store.
That's right, Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster is launching on 16th April, with Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age following closely behind on the 30th. Both games are now available to pre-purchase on the eShop for £44.99 a piece, but you can get a physical copy for the same price directly from Nintendo.
Should you go for this physical deal with Nintendo, you'll be entered into a raffle which will give you a chance of winning a little extra something. If you order the X | X-2 HD Remaster, you'll have a chance of wnining the official soundtracks for both games; if you order XII, you can win a Play Arts Kai figurine of Gabranth.
You can find both right here:

thats a cool little add
I'd still just prefer both games to be on cartridges. Importing the SEA version for that reason.
Ah, yes, "news". Certainly.
Japan gets complete physical but the rest of the world gets half and half? Not only is capcom cheating out but square too. The game carts are all produced from the same place so why not go ahead and make it complete physical for all regions? Or is it like in my experience if a decision makes perfect sense corporate won't do it simply because it makes sense.
AH. HA. HA. HA. HA
Cmon, laugh like a human with me!
AH. HA. HA. HA.
Ehhh, if the soundtracks were on vinyl then I’d be excited but on CD they’re just an MP3 so it’s not that exciting.
@PBandSmelly
HA HA HA HA HA !! (Tidus' Funny laugh)
Can't be bothered since both the EU version is half physical, half download. No sir, I'll take the Japanese version with both games on one cartridge and full English support. Thanks very much.
44 quid.
They are having a laugh for how they are packaged in the UK
Having a laugh!!
Ha ha ha ha ha
One winner only. The raffle prizes are fairly nice (assuming the soundtrack is a full one and not one of those "selection" wastes of time Nintendo release), but by the time the game releases, it'll probably be reduced in price in other places.
I’m overwhelmed with final fantasy games where do you start if you are unfamiliar?
At that price? Tell 'em they're dreamin'.
@sandman89 FFVI
@sandman89 It really depends but I'd say either IV or VI are a good place to start as the stories and characters are pretty engaging, especially the latter. Keep in mind that all the games up to X-2 use a traditional turn based combat system with some unique elements and tweaks depending of the games like the sphere grid, the materia system, job classes and such, XII and XIII trilogy use a more MMORPG ish style as they aren't turn based and XV is completely an ARPG in the same vein as KH. The first three games are rather symplistic with an old school design, so unless you really want to experience the beginnings of the franchise you can skip to the more fleshed out experiencies IV-X have to offer. And don't worry because each entry is independient story wise (with the exception of X-2 and both XIII sequels
I very much look forward to trying XII on my flight to Taiwan.
@sandman89 I don't enjoy turn based RPG combat so I'm starting with XII, it'll be my first Final Fantasy game, but I think I'm also going to try Crystal Chronicles when it comes out.
Basically the same situation as on Ps Vita a few years ago, which is really underwhelming considering Switch has much larger capacity cartridges. Well as I already played these on my Vita it's a huge pass for now, better wait for XII

Yes, that was fun laughing with you Hu-Mon.
Seeing the price and the cry for phsical, I doubt many pre-orders are placed. Good chance of winning!
2nd prize is the soundtracks to FFX and FFX-2. 1st prize is the soundtrack to FFX.
@sandman89 I’d say FFX with FFIX as a second choice.
Both have easy to understand turn based battles and great stories, which is typical of all the best Final Fantasys. FFX gets the win basically on graphics and immense scope of plot. While FFIX is my favourite and very charming, I have to admit it’s the slower and most dated of the two.
US equivalent please.. I mean we get absolute *(****)* on anything physical over here.

@DockEllisD What’s the benefit of the Japanese version again? I heard the West will get alternative cover art so that stupid download warning isn’t there anyway.
@nessisonett exactly this. CD in 2019 is a complete and utter joke. Nobody has CD players. Vinyl or bust.
@scoobdoo I still have CD players. One in my XBOX ONE, one in my HiFi set, one in my bedroom HiFi, one in my PC. Yeah.. I still play CDs.
Also too bad that store is still UK only..
@Glitchling78 thanks
