The fact that RuneScape is nominated in 2018 (even if it is a mobile rerelease) is hilarious.
If DBH wins Artistic Achievement BAFTA is a fraud.
i hope Smash Bros Ultimate wins multiplayer, and God of War wins Artistic Achievement or Best Game.
As usual, due to the UK nature, its very skewed instead of representing the whole industry worldwide.
Sea of Thieves in multiplayer? Does the game finally have content now?
Pretty much a poster in the value of a multi-platform home.
Looks a lot like DICE 2019 from our side of the pond

Wait... Roblox could get an award. Oh god please no.
Also, Labo and Mario party are nominated for more awards than smash. Okay? Whatever, it's still amazing to see praise for these games.
Considering these BAFTAs are practically the British Academy Video Game Awards, I'm always annoyed they're not called BAVGAs.
I can't believe the God of War Award Show is coming so close
Given the British skew, it wouldn't surprise me to see Red Dead get quite a few of these. Gris is also a very Bafta-style game.
It shouldn't bother me at all - I mean, awards? pfft - but I'm surprised how little recognition Octopath Traveler has had for its audio and artistic merits. I get that loads of people, especially reviewers who had to sprint through it, bounced off the episodic game structure and story, but darn, it looked and sounded pretty.
How was Red Dead Redemption 2 not nominated for best music? That soundtrack is full of joy and sorrow.
Smash Bros Ultimate should be also nominated for "Family", "Music", and "Best Game". Was it released too late to be nominated for Best Game? Every year, the Best Game nominees for all these awards seem to be near exclusively Triple A, American/European, Single Player, Third Person games with a heavy emphasis on stories that aren't very interesting (Thankfully it seems to not be as heavily present at this show). Not to say these games aren't good, but come on. Smash Bros really deserves Game of the Year
Happy about Smash being nominated in Multiplayer. It's a blast even with two players.
Celeste has so many nominations! It makes me happy. Hope it wins a few of those.
