A few days after being spotted on the Entertainment Software Rating Board in the US, a physical release for Horizon Chase Turbo has now been officially confirmed.
This version of the game is being published by PM Studios and is racing onto North American shelves this May. Unfortunately, the price and release date have not been revealed. Other than a May release, here's the game's sleek-looking box art:
Is this a physical release you've been eager to get your hands on? Have you played the digital version? Tell us down below.

Glad I waited. Day one purchase for me.
@GrizzledVeteran Same here.
@TadGhostal @GrizzledVeteran Didn't wait... Still day one!
Well deserved. This game is downright fabulous.
Have to get it AGAIN because I love it - so when are they going to time this a little better?? At least tell us when the digital release hits that they’re shooting for a retail release??? Of course the best case scenario is a day one choice between both!! That said Awesome game and worthy of sitting on my shelf!!!
Oh man! Im so glad i waited!!!!
I’ve neglected playing it for too long now. It’s great!
That's pretty sweet box art. I wish them massive success.
I imagine every developer in the world would have a physical at launch if they could. Physicals are wonderful objects of pride and joy, particularly special editions. Can we all tweet ask the developer for a special edition that will extra appeal to those of us who bought the digital? Could have a poster, model car amiibo, steel book, stickers, photos of notes and inspirations for the game, and a quirky inspiring thank you note from the developers.
I don't think small developers can necessarily promise physical releases at launch because their budgets don't allow it. Only when their game sells well enough do they earn enough to justify physical editions. @joey302
Do you know if in 4 player local multiplayer the framerate is at 60 fps?
Thanks.
Yep, I'm gonna get this thing
You're in for a treat with this game. I'm playing it these days and it's great. So fast, so colorful, so perfect
Didn’t wait... don’t regret it. Will buy this. Hopefully will get a European release
I have outrun, I ll pass
With my backlog, I could not justify buying this. But physical is too good to pass up. Time to pre order.
All these indie games released on cart is a waste of space. The smallest Switch cart is 2 GB and many of the indie games are only a few hundred megabytes.
Why can't they do a bundle? Put 5 indie games on a cart? PSP has bundle like this, Nintendo should follow.
Such a fantastic game.
Day one purchase for sure!👍
I have seen nothing but praise for this game! It's still backlogged for a strong sale, but I'm hoping it'll join GameFly's library so I can sample it.
ugh less than 1gb file size game getting a physical release, but none of the good Res. Evil games are getting physical releases... I ain't made of money and/or disc space!
