Ratalaika Games has confirmed that its upcoming puzzle-platformer Peasant Knight will be frantically dashing and jumping towards a Switch near you later this week.
Coming from the team at 4AM Games, this one is actually described as a puzzle-platformer "with a twist". You'll be relentlessly dashing into the face of danger, stopping just pixels away from erupting flame pits and the like; the tricky part is that you can only move forwards or stop, and an ever-present time limit will make you want to go even faster.
The puzzle element comes from the traps themselves; each level has you navigating your way through increasingly complex combinations and, as the trailer above demonstrates, we imagine you'll be dying a lot. Here's a quick list of game features:
- 80 levels to solve.
- 18 different kinds of traps, bosses and enemies to overcome.
- Local multiplayer that supports up to 4 players.
- Co-op play and race modes.
The game launches on Switch on 22nd March and will be available for $2.99 / €2.99.
Will you be giving it a go in a few days' time? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

It looks a little basic, but I wouldn't expect more for $3.
Looks infruriating
Sorry don't think so looks like a BBC micro game ported to mobile then to switch
I hate trial and error games. This is more like a puzzle then a platformer.
Interesting twist to the runner formula.
he's not hollow, has no shovel.
