In the February Nintendo Direct presentation, we found out the heartwarming co-op puzzle-platform game Unravel Two was coming to the Switch on 22nd March. Not long after this, it was confirmed the title would receive a physical release in Europe, but there was no mention of it for North America.
In a reply on Twitter, the game's developer Coldwood Interactive has now reassured fans the Switch version will be receiving a physical release in the US. Here's the confirmation:
If you're not familiar with this game, below is a description from Nintendo:
When you cut ties to the past, new bonds form. In Unravel Two, create a Yarny of your very own. Then build relationships with other Yarnys in local co-op or as a single player, fostering friendship and support as you journey together.
Begin your adventure in a cold and imposing land, then watch your surroundings blossom with new life as you chase the spark of adventure. Dive into an immersive story filled with energy, exuberance, inspiration – even monsters. Approach every challenge with positivity and fearlessness to awaken the world around you, and discover an unbreakable bond between friends.
As we previously noted, the original Unravel was released in 2016 as part of the EA Originals line - with all profits going back to the developer. Sadly, we still haven't had the chance to experience it on a Nintendo platform.
Are you looking forward to playing the sequel? Will you be picking up a physical copy? Tell us below.

Yep, it's been on Nintendo's website for a little while now
@ALinkttPresent "Yep, it's been on Nintendo's website for a little while now"
Wrong. That is eShop... there is no Physical listed there. Stop giving misleading information.
I noticed the pic of the case on the Nintendo website but Amazon and Best Buy haven’t had listings as of yet
Nice. I was under the impression it was EU only, since no listings for US have gone up yet.
Good news
Nice. Day 1 purchase.
Imagine they use Kirby and Yoshi as characters for this game...
Very interested in this game. Do we know the price yet?

@Tandy255 On the eshop it’s gonna be $19.99 US. Though I don’t know the price of the physical I’d guess $29.99.
Nice too bad we won’t see the first Unravel!
@RobotReptile Thanks! That seems like a fair price. I may end up getting this sooner than later.
Price is fair in US eShop but in the UK eShop the digital version is £9 more than the other consoles versions (US is same price)
Does this play as good as it looks? It looks amazing.
Ha nice! I literally was about to pre-order this on play-asia about 15 minutes ago but decided to wait. Awesome news! They gotta release the first one as well right? It's so good
Such a cute looking game.
I never did play the first one, but I'm just going to assume that the sequel refines on most of their ideas.
I resent that this was published by EA, since I boycott them, but I may be willing to get this physical since it's surprisingly cheap and it was only published by EA, not developed.
@dugan I had a lot of fun with the first game. Most of the puzzles were fairly straightforward and there wasn't much dexterity required, but I really fell in love with the aesthetic. The music was a particular high-point for me.
@RupeeClock EA don't get any of the profits from the EA Originals line so you should be good to get this game.
@Dogorilla
Thanks for the heads up, EA Originals I can get behind if that's true, and is where I'd like to see the company headed.
@jwfurness Thank you! I am sold!
Twitter say NO NA release is coming you must order from Amazon UK only for physical edition.
Unravel Two (Switch) will NOT be getting a physical release in NA.
Yea I was so excited for this but Coldwood said they spoke too soon and there's no physical NA release. So I went ahead and ordered the EU version. Gonna really tick me off if they flip flop back and say oh wait no we're sorry there really is...
@dugan Well, that was easy!
