We're finally at the end of what has been a pretty eventful week - you know, with that little video presentation thingy from Nintendo and all that - so it's time to settle down and recover with some games-based chat. As ever, members of the Nintendo Life team have gathered to share their weekend plans and we'd love for you to get involved, too. Make your voices heard in the poll and comment section down below. Enjoy!

This weekend, like any weekend, was going to be completely dedicated to hoovering up those last few Super Smash Bros. Ultimate spirits - I have around 1,100 of the things and getting these last ones are proving to be more time-consuming than ever before. Those plans might have just been thrown out of the window, though, thanks to that silly, ridiculous, brilliant Tetris game.
Yep, like most who have played it, Tetris 99 seems to have me pretty hooked. Winning is incredibly tough, but the ability to just jump straight into another game makes you want to go for 'just one more'. I've already started seeing Tetriminos in my sleep.

This weekend, I have high hopes of maybe starting Final Fantasy IX on the Switch - but let’s be honest, it’s been a long week, and I’ll probably just end up playing Tetris 99 the whole time. I’m also pretty disappointed with the lack of Animal Crossing news during the Direct, and I have this itch to go re-purchase a Wii U (I traded mine in when the Switch came out) to replay City Folk. If I squint my eyes, I may be able to trick myself into thinking it looks like an Animal Crossing game on the Switch... desperate times call for desperate measures.

Despite falling foul of this week’s eShop sale, I doubt I’ll have time to play Undertale this weekend. You see, an impending arrival in the household means sorting out the house is a matter of urgency, so I’ll be going through old boxes filled with consoles and games, making difficult decisions. It’s a pretty lean collection already, but I had a crisis of conscience a few months back when I had the idea to replace my original NES console – which I can’t actually play through my TV anymore – with a nice, neat NES Mini. Of course, in the end I came to the only logical conclusion: get the NES Mini and keep the NES, too.
It’s going to be a long weekend…

On the assumption that ‘Tetris Battle Royale’ won’t take over my entire life, there are some ARMS punches to be thrown along with some Super Smash Bros. Ultimate amiibo and Spirit Board event action this weekend. Nothing like a Nintendo Direct midweek to send every sort of weekend plans into complete disarray and I certainly was not expecting to get my hands on an early build of one of my current 2019 GOTY candidates. Since we were asked so politely for feedback, I will indulge in exploring DAEMON X MACHINA's Prototype Missions demo to the fullest.
Tikipod’s Iron Crypticle is my game of the week. Grab the game, grab three friends and wonder why no one else is delivering a twin-stick shooter of this finesse.

This weekend I'll be falling back into a series I have a rather unhealthy obsession with: Blazblue. As per usual, it's taken an age for BlazBlue: Central Fiction to make it to the west but it's finally here and I can't wait to get stuck into some more 2D fighting madness. Oh and lots of Paladins because I'm a predictable bore.
Liam Doolan, news reporter
If you had asked me several years ago what kind of video games I thought I would be playing in 2019, I probably wouldn’t have said Tetris against 98 other people online. I’m probably not alone when I say I’ve always been fond of this arguably perfect tile-matching puzzle game, but I don’t think I’ve ever been this impressed by it before.
When I’m not giving my brain a workout in Tetris 99 this weekend, I’ll be spending time making maps and slowly working my way through the campaign in Wargroove. Other than these games, I’ve been encouraged by the recent Team Cherry announcement to go back and play Hollow Knight. I’ll also be revisiting the Game Boy Color Virtual Console version of Link’s Awakening on the 3DS, in preparation for the Switch remake.

I've put a good ten hours into Tetris 99 but I've pulled myself away from it now so I can get stuck into Nekopara Vol.2.
I’ve just finished Wargroove’s campaign.
Shining Force (Mega Drive Collection) then Disgaea 5 are next up on my backlog.
But I don’t really have time this weekend to start a new game. So I’ll be playing Tetris 99, Downwell and dipping back into the updated Dead Cells.
I'll be checking out the Daemon X Machina demo and continuing Ys VIII and Valkria Chronicles.
Donkey Kong tropical freeze and Mario kart
Going to try and complete my first run through of Sundered Eldrich Edition (absolute bargain at £3.50 on the Russian eShop), a bit of Tetris 99, a bit of Smash Bros, a bit of Downwell.
@KryptoniteKrunch make sure you play Daemon docked, it doesn't look particularly pretty in handheld mode.
Mainly Dragon: Marked for Death this weekend, but bouncing to MHGU, Wargroove, Stardew, and Night Trap as well. So many games so little time. Lol
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - I'm close to the end of World of Light if the amount of characters I have is anything to go by. I'd say I'm missing 10 or so.
Tetris 99 - Might as well play couple of rounds of Tetris.
Daemon X Machina Demo - Played the first mission when I woke up today and will continue later. Not really my kind of game but I really enjoyed the start screen music. Had to stop and listen before starting a new game.
Pokémon Shuffle - Same old. I believe I'm in stage UX560.
Kingdom Hearts II - You know, everyone's playing KH3 so I wanted to play some KH as well. I've only finished the ones on Nintendo handhelds and the very first Kingdom Hearts since I never owned a PlayStation 2. I got a PS2 a year or two ago but it stopped working almost immediately so I just replaced it and I can finally delve into PlayStation games.
Possibly other games like Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu, Downwell and/or Wargroove.
Doing a little grinding to go after the final boss in Octopath Traveler. The hidden dungeon was well worth the extra story content just couldn't defeat the final boss yet because of what the game pulls at it.
I'm liking Tetris 99. I doubt it will hold my interest in the long term, few puzzle games do, but I'm enjoying it for the time being.
Playing some Wargroove too. Also probably gonna start Final Fantasy 9. And I want to play some more Tales of Vesperia too, pretty sure I am nearing the end of that one.
Finished Nekopara Volume 1 and Volume 0 last night, just in time for Volume 2. Yes, I have no shame. Oh, and I finished Planetarium the other day too. That was real good!
It would be interesting to know how many downloads Tetris 99 has got so far. Seems like a lot of people, myself included, have been enjoying it.
Tetris 99 is evil! My fiance and I binged it last night until midnight and I had to get up at 5am...
I'm not buying anything until I've played my entire backlog. I have quite the backlog, so this isn't as spartan as it seems. Right now I've finally got round to Celeste.
My goodness, it really is as wonderful as you lot say it is. A perfect balance between technical difficulty and emotional impact. The music, pixel art, storytelling, level design and responsive controls are a great example of how it should be done.
I also like the length, I'm on the final level after playing on and off for a week and am completely satisfied. I like my Indie games to be relatively short and impactful. If AAAs are like concept double-albums then I like a good Indie to resemble a classic single or EP (Probably giving away my age here...). Sure, Stardew is a notable exception but will I risk the torches and pitchforks if I say that I found Hollow Knight to be a smidgen too long?
Tetris 99 - can't get enough of it. I've played it for just over 6 hours now. I've managed 1 victory and a few top 3 finishes. I had a match earlier where I was targeted by 8 people right from the start and somehow managed to take most, if not all of them out and finish in the top 10 with 13 knockouts.
Slain: Back to Hell - I was given it for free yesterday (long story). It's a game I've been meaning to buy for ages, despite its bad rep. The graphics and theme appeal to me a lot so I thought I would still get some fun out of it. It turns out it's nowhere near as bad as some reviews (including NL's) make out. I'm really enjoying it so far. It's tough going but doable. It controls well, the graphics and soundtrack are superb and it runs very smoothly. The patch it received must have fixed a lot as no way is it a 4/10 game.
Super Mario Bros 2 - it's a game I've never completed so I think I'll give it a good go this weekend. It's not one of my favourite 2D Mario's but it's an enjoyable platformer. The soundtrack is definitely one of my favourites though.
Rocket League - as always.
I am having too much fun with Horizon Chase Turbo! The eshop needs more arcade racers!
Ignore the haters, baby, Travis Strikes Again is a brilliant memorable lavishly retro styled gaming experience. So I'm aiming to spend more time on in-game toilets and getting insane t-shirts.
I'll do Fitness Boxing workouts to continue losing weight on it. A little Smash and a little of the ubiquitous T99 everyone's favourite cup of Tetris tea, round out my weekend and make a me a well rounded person. Maybe I'm Kirby?
IM STUCK IN A NON STOP PLAYING TETRIS LOOPHOLE ADDICTION
plz send help
Btw Kirby Adventures on NES Online is the cutest game ever. If you have Switch Online sub you must simply play it.
I've been switching between WarGroove and Moonlighter this weekend. Having a jolly good time to boot.
@Dromosus I totally lost the thread with the slightly bloated Hollow Knight, an otherwise wonderful experience. Playing without the DLC would have been a nice option for the first playthrough.
@OorWullie - Thanks for the update about Slain: BFH! It’s been on my wish list awhile as well, and been tossing back and forth on getting it. I’m a metal fan, love Castlevania games, and anything dealing with death, demons, angels, etc. So I thought the game would really appeal to me, but with mixed reviews and such, I haven’t made the plunge yet.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, maybe Hollow Knight, incredible game. Might get back to DOOM, another awesome experience on Switch, maybe check out Tetris 99 too. Have a good weekend everyone
Well. Started playing FF9. But ended up deleting the game. What a mess of a port. So be WARNED.
Soooo now I don’t know. Maybe Tales of Vesperia. It’s on sale here.
I tried and loved tetris. Will play that over the weekend.
I played an hour or so of Final Fantasy IX so far, the airship has just crashed. Wow, what an opening, looking forward to getting stuck in over the coming weeks.
Played some Daemon X Machina as well, on third mission. Need more time with it.
Right now I'm playing Luigi's Mansion 2 on 3DS. 3 hours in and about to start B-2 of the Haunted Towers. Bought it when it first came out and never finished it so I want to knock this one out before the 3rd one is released.
Got a few more games going atm but don't think I'll get to them this weekend.
Will continue to grab some stars from super Mario galaxy (3d Mario's are the only games that I have to complete no matter what...) But mainly playing final fantasy IX (I have only played the first hour before and my current thoughts are that Zidane and Steiner are very non-likable characters and still don't get the card game but let's see how it goes)
This week is about ARMS and Wii games. 🤓
1. ARMS (Switch)
Party Crash Event again !
This time i play as Master Mummy. 🤓
2. Super Mario Galaxy (Wii)
Two years i didn't touch that game so i continue my progress as my responsibility. I have managed to unlock Beach Bowl Galaxy, still looking for Hidden Star on that galaxy.
3. Pokepark 2: Wonders Beyond
Same case, i haven't touched that game very long time. I have managed to unlock Verdant Court place.
@Skalgrim what are the issues with the port in your opinion?
I heard people complaining of the UI but I don't see a problem with it but found the loading times and frame rate on battles to be a bit messy
wargroove, tetris 99
....and fortnite (free battlepass!!)
@Balta666
maybe I’m in a grumpy mood today. But I find the loading time really annoying.
Aspect ratio is a bit annoying. This is a rather expensive port. And not bringing widescreen is a big minus.
Some frame rate issues.
And I got stucked in a battle loop in ice cavern.
I certainly don’t think this game is worth the high price as a port. It’s very lazy.
I beat Mega Man ZX for the first time since its release this week.
I was rather taken aback by how poorly the mission structure meshes with the metroidvania aspect of the title, but the actual gameplay is pretty fantastic.
The transformations feel like a natural evolution of the forms from Zero 2 without any of the penalties that made that system so situational. I'm definitely looking forward to trying out Advent again one of these days.
Metro Exodus. 2019 can already be considered a great year for games. This and Resident Evil 2 are stunning. March is looking a busy month as well. Also, just starting the Motorhead levels in Victor Vran on Switch. Had to turn the music down a bit in the sound menu.
@Dm9982 I would say go for it then, you're guaranteed to enjoy it. It nails the gothic look, has great looking enemies, rocking soundtrack and lots of blood. It's turned out to be the kind of game I hoped it'd be rather than what I thought it'd be, going by the reviews. I expected a Neo Geo Magician Lord kind of game, a great looking horror themed platformer but with clunky controls, unfair platforming and constantly respawning enemies but it's none of those things. The character feels good to control, has a decent range of moves, there's nice variety to the levels, lots of checkpoints with quick reload and challenging but fair bosses. Based on what I've played so far I'd give it an 8/10.
I'm loving Lego World's ATM. I find it so much more fun than Minecraft, and I enjoy building things with the Lego I never could with actual Lego without spending over $2000 for the pieces!
Otherwise it's Mario Kart and Party with the family and Tetris 99 whenever I have a spare minute or 20.
Erm Tetris, tetris then a little more tetris.
Don't normally take the Switch out of the house but I'm half tempted to take it to the pub with me tonight I'm that addicted to Tetris 99
This weekend my games to play list is
*Modern Combat Blackout
*Daemon x Machina Demo
*Tales of Vesperia Defin Ed
*Tokyo School Life--Vis Nvl
Banner Saga 3 then I might go back and finish Resi Revelations 2 before I have to archive it to make room for all these new titles I need in my collection (21gb!).
My youngest is totally obsessed with Smash Bros. Ultimate, so I see some of that in my near future. Some ARMS because it's traditional. Amd I' hoping to finish my current Civ VI game, which I'm playing as Egypt and going for a religious win.
Still grinding in FF Maxima, but the Yoshi demo was great, I am glad I preordered it. From all the comments here, I should download Tetris 99 and check it out.
Not much, I went to see Ninja Sex Party and it's left me really rooted. Sleep for me.
OlliOlli, BotW DLC, and Yooka-Laylee mostly. Miscellaneous others I’m sure, but those are my mains at the mo. Happy weekend and happy gaming to all!
Already 20 hours into FF9. Appreciating it way more this time around. Wish there was a way to remove these ugly borders but otherwise an excellent entry.
Tetris 99
Captain toad
Smash
Wow that demon x demo is a mess!
CIV6 has me totally absorbed. Just one more turn and then i’ll start FF9 or Tales..... nah ok, just one more turn and i’ll really start something else....
Arguing aside, my kids love the yoshi demo, and I'm humming the tune non stop. Also the daemon x machina game seems like a game up my alley, with the extremely customisable mechs, and the mercenary contracts level setup. I think I'll buy that game. Also, awesome music and a pinch of crazy story.
Tetris 99 is so much fun. Going to play DXM hard this weekend and hopefully offer some feedback.
1. Metro Exodus (PC)
2. Kingdm Hearts 3 (PS4) near the end so taking it slow.
3. Daemon Demo (Switch)
Animal Crossing on Wii is pretty impressive. I love the 60 fps refresh rate, and it's got that classic and endlessly fun AC gameplay.
Zelda Link's Awakening also looks incredible on a new Nintendo 3ds. It is pixel perfect (amazingly sharp with the 3d slider all the way up) and 60 fps and fun! I'll be playing it in anticipation of the Switch version.
Kingdom new lands and kingdom two crowns are among the best games ever. I still get addicted to them even though they never run very smoothly.
Tetris 99 is also wizard blazes. So good.
Tokyo School Life, already got one of the three good endings last night, so going to go for the other two endings. Tetris 99 is definitely going to get some play time. If I can squeeze it in the Daemon X Machina demo, I already have it downloaded, haven't checked it out yet.
I was on Arms this morning for the party crash. Sometimes I was on my own, sometimes there were just two of us on there. I boot it up every time there's a party crash, but this game doesn't appear to have much life left as far as online gameplay goes. Still great for local multiplayer, but there are better fighters in general, and on the Switch as well. Hopefully next year will see a sequel with a bigger budget, as this was definitely mid-tier even by fighting game standards in terms of content. Good post-launch support though.
SSBU, ARMS, Tetris 99, Splatoon 2, Wargroove, XC2 and maybe MK XL (I need to prep for MX XI).
This week I will be mostly playing
Smash Ultimate
Kirby Planet Robobot (96%)
Game & Wario
Final Fantasy IX. I'll probably actually make some progress this time around with the ability to take the game on the go.
Ridiculous Marathon (Windows Phone) - Killing time.
Zombies!!! (Windows Store) - Was sad to see that I can't redownload and play this anymore...
Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series (Windows Store) - Just purchased episode 2, so having another go at this hilarious adventure.
This weekend I'm aiming to get Civ6 while it's still on sale. Otherwise, I've recently got Neurovoider, which is quite fun. Skyrim or Stardew are my usual vices.
The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince on Switch, a dark and bittersweet yet beautiful fairy-tale set in a surreal fantasy world (the protagonist herself is noticeably different from our world's wolves, and wait until you see the local GOATS), reinforced with some neat puzzles and presented with very eloquent music and artstyle. Perhaps my only bummer so far is not seeing Akiko Shikata's theme song anywhere (although the game's audio narrative remains in Japanese) and wondering if it didn't pass the whimsical fire hoop of international licensing. Then again, it was advertised as an "image/trailer song" rather than an intro, so maybe it isn't in the Japanese version either - or, on the contrary, lies somewhere among the game's abundant unlockables.
Meanwhile, Xenoblade not only continues to present ambitious locations and feeding me more FFXIII vibes (Gaur Plains are huge and feel like I'm back to Archylte steppe) but pawning The Elder Scrolls with its QoL approach. I've already told in a previous such post how clearing one dungeon in Skyrim prematurely has left me in alleged risk of failing to obtain a future quest item. Xenoblade? On the aforesaid plains, the game pulls yet another mechanic from its sleeve - some random collectibles start triggering teasers about their importance in some future fetch quest, and the inventory even helpfully labels the item with an exclamation mark. I don't even. XD Between this and battles, I suspect few other games incorporate the related plot point so deep into the general gameplay routine.
Final Fantasy IX, Daemon demo, Yoshi demo and Tales of Vesperia.
I need to check out that Tetris game. The other Switch games will be Smash Bros Ultimate SNK Heroines and a few Neo Geo games. Along with some PS4 games
Grim Fandango Remastered: I have just finished year one and want to make as much as progress on year two as i can. This game is hilarious and very well written which keeps you going through the sometimes strange old school point and click logic.
Colums 3: Have been so addicted to playing this on the Sega Mega Drive Collection that i have decided to finish it before i start on Tetris 99.
Mario Odyssey: My favourite game to chill with, explore the worlds looking for moons on my never ending no guide 100% goal and collect coins for new outfits. Really enjoy the photo mode on this as well.
Mario & Luigi Bowsers inside story.
@zionich I loved the final boss of Octopath Traveler. I really enjoyed the game anyway, but the final content really raised the whole experience a notch or two for me.
I haven’t picked up my Switch much this past week, other than some Smash with the kids, as I have been hooked on Persona 3 Portable. Atlus really needs to bring P5R to Switch.
After near 2 years of ignoring my ps4,I’m finally playing resident evil 2 and red dead 2 after that. But my switch is with me at work since I work both days and will be playing either Tetris or bad north during breaks.
I really wanna list all the games I plan on playing like Pokemon Let's Go Eevee on the switch, Link's Awakening DX, Detective Pikachu and Yokai Watch on the 3DS and Late Shift and the Bunker on the PS4. But judging on previous weeks, it probably will be Fortnite and Tetris 99 for sure.
Some dkc3( pretty sure I'm almost done), ssbu, Kirbys adventure, and my big one with the most time spent will be twilight princess hd
Playing FF9. It's a weird, lazy, cell phone port that takes way too long to load battles but it's such a great game that it's still playable. Would have loved if they had put some effort into it and just charged 29.99 but in the end I guess I'm just glad to be playing it.
Playing Darkside Detective on the side and really enjoying it. A short, fun, simple game. I wish there were more cases and it could stand to be a tad less meta, it winks and nods so much its head should have rolled off by now.
Had to stop playing Tales of Vesperia. I really thought I was going to love this game but it's actually really starting to get on my nerves. I can still understand the appeal of it but I'm totally over it.
And still playing Tangledeep of course.
Tetris 99, all the new demos. Loving Yoshi. Plus Crackdown 3. loved the first 2 so hoping for more of the same
@KryptoniteKrunch you got good tastes my mate
With the Direct suggesting Switch 2019 is quite the desert until Mario Maker 2 in June, it's time I returned back to my long backlog games like Starlink.
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. I hope to clear that by next weekend.
I got very into Fitness Boxing a couple of weeks ago so I'll "play" half an hour of that each day. I bought Final Fantasy IX because Final Fantasy but I've also really started to get into Hollow Knight so those two will have to fight it out for my time.
I’m playing Final Fantasy 9 for the 1st time and loving it.
Iron Crypticle
Wargroove
Dead Cells
Tumblestone, Lolo, Dr. Mario, Puyo Puyo Tetris... All suddenly seemed appealing after starting with Tetris 99. Some super smash too.
I will play more Tetris 99 and the DXM Demo for the sixth time. I'm really hyped for this.
And I will finish Milanoir.
Originally I wanted to play Oniken and Odallus but I will wait for the Update.
Well, definitely some DxM demo. In love with that. Some more runs in Dead Cells and Caveblazers. A few runs in City of Brass and Away too.
Yoku's Island Express and just bought CatTails on sale so starting to dive into that. It's been a rough week so want something chill.
Final Fantasy IX (Switch)
Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (Vita)
Hopefully getting back to Hollow Knight (Switch). I got stuck in Crystal Peak a couple of months ago. ;(
I just conquered Xenoblade 2 so I'm moving on to Ys VIII.
My wife & I have been having a blast playing NBA Playgrounds 2
Lots of Starlink: Battle for Atlus and the excellent Iron Crypticle for me this weekend. Oh and I’m sure I can squeeze in a little Dead Cells, too!
I was able to download Yo-Kai Watch 3, and so far it’s just as quirky and charming as Yo-Kai Watch 1 & 2! 😃 (and now, thanks to the relatively giant download, I’m almost out of space on my 3DS’ micro SD. 😅)
I got Jeff to join my party in EarthBound and defeated the Boogey Tent yesterday!
Additionally, my Ice Climbers amiibo came in! My Piranha Plant and King K. Rool got delayed, however, and I’m not exactly the happiest, especially since I ordered them back in November...but it’s alright! I’m sure they’ll come in! 😄
Everyone have an amazing, God-blessed weekend! 😃
I got Sushi Striker on deep discount last week and I have been delightfully surprised. I wouldn’t have wanted to pay $50 for it but at just under $30, I’m more than pleased.
I've started Torna and loving it! I'm considering new game+ in the main game after Torna but I recently got Disgaea 5 and Undertale so I guess I'll have to take a break from Xenoblade soon 😅
Smash and FFIX easily.
Smash I’m very close to finishing WoL.
FFIX because FFIX
Tetris Battle Royale is the greatest thing I never knew I wanted. I look forward to logging an unholy amount of time into it.
Aside from Tetris, I'm torn between continuing my playthrough of Shining Force 2 on Genesis Classics collection (super fun game, btw, even for a strategy newbie like myself) or finishing up the remaining stories in Octopath Traveler. I'm rushing to finish up my RPG backlog now, because between Final Fantasy X, XII, Fire Emblem Three Houses, and Dragon Quest XI S, the rest of the year is going to be absolutely packed with roleplaying goodness.
Paladins, Tetris 99 and punchout Wii
Link's Awakening (not DX) on the Game Boy Player.
@MH4
About Yokai Watch 3.
Did you know if Yokai Watch 3 has been registered on ESRB rating on Nintendo SWITCH also ?
I heard from Switch physical relase Forum.
https://twitter.com/ESRBRatings/status/1096533394383622145/photo/1
Tetris 99. I'd have to pull myself away from it to play anything else, including Smash. Just so addicting.
@Anti-Matter That has to be a mistake somehow 🤔
Downloaded Diablo III but it’ll probably be Monday before I can spend any time on it.
I recently got ahold of the Xenosaga trilogy as well as Xenogears soo i might just start that
Still working on Piczle Lines DX... I may get some time into Mario& Rabbids. Just finished that Yoshi demo and even though I’m not normally a Yoshi fan I’m pretty excited for it to release next month. I want to try that Tetris game everyone’s going on about too 😉
It's family weekend so we'll be playing Super Mario Party, Smash Bros Ultimate and Wii Sports Club bowling.
Tetris! I can't get over just how good it is, even the missus likes it. Given how popular Fortnite is with the kids, and clearly a lot of people like Tetris 99, I wonder what sort of age bracket they're in, is it just the ~30+ age group that grew up with the original?
Just had a game where I was ambushed from the start and got 5 of the first 20 odd KOs.
Yoshi demo it’s fantastic
I might be playing a little bit of Fortnite with my brother later, but as a whole my weekend has been taken up by a vacation!
@Dromosus hollow Knight definitely over stays it’s welcome
Jesus! How addictive is this new Tetris game!!
Tetris99, Apex Legends, and Party Golf ... a couch competitive multiplayer game I somehow managed to overlook the last 18 months. It looks stupendously good.
Persona 3 FES (PS2: Male/Aigis),
Persona 3 Portable (PSP: Female),
Fallout 4 (PC),
Smash Bros. Ultimate (NS),
Super Mario 64 DS,
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (NGC),
Sonic Adventure DX (NGC),
Syphon Filter Dark Mirror (PSP),
Death Jr (PSP),
Tobal 2 (PS1),
Tony Hawk Underground 2 (NGC)
Animal Crossing (NGC)
Animal Crossing: City Folk (Wii)
Captain Rainbow (Wii)
Just finished the Mutant Mudds Collection. Man what a set of mediocre games. I think I have to think twice now at some Nintendo Life's reviews for now on.
Tetris 99 is my jam!
...even though I'm sucking hard at it!
@Marios-love-child please tell me you brought your Switch to the pub!
i think i'm gonna jump on owl boy digital for $14.99...........
Mario Odyssey and Diddy's Kong Quest on 3ds for me.
Resident Evil 2 for me, I'm really addicted to this at the moment and I'm enjoying getting scared by Mr X and have some free DLC to get stuck in to as well
Finally purchased a Switch so I am messing around with the F2P stuff, Nintendo Switch Online features, and Sega Genesis Classics. I feel however that I will be playing Tetris 99 a lot.
Well Tetris 99. Having to stop myself playing before bed because then i can't get to sleep for all the blocks falling behind my eyes. Not managed higher than 15th yet, obviously need more practice!
Also started Count Lucanor, which has been in my backlog for about a year. The slow walking pace in it is a bit frustrating but its genuinely creepy and weird in places.
This is MUCH later than I normally post in these articles, but I've taken a slight break from the interwebz for most of the day. XD
I started Detective Pikachu on the 3DS this morning. It's quite a quirky, relaxing game that's a little on the easy side. As a Pokemon fan, I'm finding it to be quite enjoyable overall.
I plan to return to the fields of Magvel in Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones on the Wii U VC later. I've made the decision to play Eirika's route this time around.
I'm playing through Jump Force (on another system).
Why is there such little love for Final Fantasy 9?
Just finished Liar Princess and Blind Prince, alright gameplay, but the story and visuals are utterly charming so I played until the end.
Probably will buy and play FF IX (might also pick up a King K Rool or Ice Climbers amiibo while I’m out if I can find one at Best Buy)
Tressa's level 2 in Octopath & Daemon Machina demo.
Red Dead Redemption 2 and The Sims 4 on PS4 because there’s no Animal Crossing and I need creatures to control.
Yoshi and Daemon X Machina demo and Tetris 99, among others.
Was only going to have a couple of T99 matches but ended up playing for 2 hours. Game is addictive.
Managed to get 10th as well.
I just finished The Liar Princess & the Blind Prince today, and I LOVED it. I also maxed out the Yoshi's Crafted World demo and am really looking forward to the full game soon. Onto the Daemon X Machina demo, and I need to go back and finish Gabbuchi too.
@MJInnocent
I decided against it in the end. Didn't want to appear to be too unsociable haha
Smash
Tetris 99

Back to the training mat with Smash, got destroyed even worse in the second NA online qualifying tournament than I did in the first. Anyone got tips? 😬
Otherwise, back to the Wargroove campaign, Tetris 99, and NBA2K19. I’ve recently been getting into basketball and snatched this up on sale. I’ve been enjoying it but I’m so bad! Soon I’ll attempt MyCareer, hopefully without getting bogged down by micro transactions and such.
Tried the Daemon X Machina demo (like it), had a quick burst on Final Fight, tried out Tetris 99 and failed miserably, I got lynched big time in one match! I also picked up Horizon Chase Turbo and absolutely love it, it truly is the spiritual successor to Top Gear...
@Krull Agreed!
Yoshi's Crafted World demo
Daemon X Machina demo
Tetris 99
Kirby's Adventure
Random games from Sega Genesis Classics
Ugh. Glad I have Monday off too lol
@Darknyht welcome! Hope you’re enjoying your new Switch
@Marios-love-child probably wise!
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Giana Sisters DS.
@MJInnocent I am but finding I use it on the TV more because games like Paladins give you eye-strain trying to see the tiny fonts they use. I picked up the XC2 standalone expansion and it plays much better in handheld mode.
