While the mighty Nintendo 3DS is almost ready to be put out to pasture, for families with young kids there has never been a better time to pick up one of these classic handhelds in order to make long car journeys pass without any drama.
The New Nintendo 2DS XL is certainly the way to go with young 'uns – no need for that glasses-free 3D effect. The 2DS XL offers a great way to experience all the classic evergreen library of 3DS games.
So with school half-term on the way in the UK, the lovely folks at the Nintendo Official UK Store have a great deal for families. A New Nintendo 2DS XL + 3 Games for £129.99. You can't say fairer than that.

This offer was really successful over Black Friday, so it's nice to see it get one last hurrah. The offer will be on until 24th February, so get in there quickly. If you use the promotion code READYFORTRAVEL at checkout, you will also get free next day delivery on this amazing bundle too.
This period is also your last chance, as only valid until the 24th February and will then be gone, and once all this stock has been exhausted we highly doubt Nintendo will make any more units.
Let us know if you picked one up with a comment below.

With that game bundle, I rather be back in school sleeping
@TurboTEF I mean, you can pick from some really good titles like Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and Bravely Second, so I do have to wonder why they're using those three as an example of what's on offer, even as somebody who likes Tri-Force Heroes.
they arent 3 games I would buy either but the deal itself is very good. even though I have put my original 3ds in retirement im tempted to get a NEW nintendo 3ds XL whilst they are fairly cheap 2nd hand.
Plenty of other dirt cheap 3ds games that are fun like Monster Hunter Generations, Project X Zone 2 or Code Name Steam.
@tudsworth To be honest, I checked out the link and most of the games have sold out except for the ones on the pictures bundle and Bravely Second. I think Bravely Second is the only game still in stock which I both don't have & actually want.
New 2DS XL plus 3 games for that price? Quite a good deal for kids. Or if anyone has an older 2/3DS that's getting worn out and a handful of games they always wanted but never got around to.
I'm however on my 5th 3DS and have no intention of buying another. And I prefer the smaller one because the XL models make everything less sharp. I have one of the very uncommon normal size American New 3DS' with the interchangeable face-plates - A feature I might add, that I was quite upset when it was dropped. I still believe that was done so they could push special edition units more easily.
This is one of the best deals seen from Nintendo that's not for Black Friday . Very rare for a price cut plus games like this, too bad its only in UK.
I would love a bundle deal like this to come to North America.
It would have made more sense to include Devilish Brain Training and New Art Academy.
Lower it to $99 and I buy it if it ever got one here.
@Silly_G
Looks like there are more games to choose from than just what is on the picture above. Devilish Brain Training is one of them.
Great bundle. It's worth the money.
@lemonjellydude There are more options actually for the games.
School's out? It's February. Does the school system work differently across the pond?
@NerdyBoutKirby Well, yes.. the school system does work differently here in the UK. In this case, it's just a one week break which is placed term. It allows teachers to catch up with out-of-hours work & training as well as letting the kids vent.
I gotta say I do love how salty switch owners are towards anything 3/2DS anymore.
Old stock Nintendo are trying to get rid of. Apparently the DS is on its last legs, even with its brand new casing the graphics are now a bit ropey. We'll according to reports I read. 😕
Well they don't have a 3DS XL/New 3DS so not really interested.
