If there's one other fighting game on the Nintendo Switch worth checking out besides Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, it's arguably Dragon Ball FighterZ. The game is the definitive Dragon Ball fighting game, with an all-star cast and ongoing patches to ensure battles continue to be as fierce, fast and frantic as possible.

Hey, neat! Can't wait to play as Videl. Kinda wish she had her own real ki blasts, though, instead of having to rely on Gohan/Saiyaman.
Soooo... is Beerus still trash? XD
oh i like Videl but can she really fight at the same level as Jiren?
Edit: thank you @patbacknitro18 for the reply!
@dimi In the FighterZ story, some machine sent out rays that suppressed everyone's power in the universe to be on par with each other. So thats their reasoning for why all of these fighters have a chance of standing up against one another.
While I like Jiren, I kinda wish he had a Ginyu type moveset where he just stands back and lets the Pride Troopers attack for him. While that would go against his character, it would still be an interesting set up for him.
@dimi Videl is superior to Jiren in every conceivable way.
I was going to use some of my cash to (re)buy Fairy Fencer F on my Switch for my portable needs, but after some thinking I might just use that on this Season 2 pass instead. It's a little on the pricey side, but I do want to continue playing FighterZ.

...I can't agree with this. While the fast-paced action and art style does bring itself closer to being a true "Dragon Ball Z" experience, the overall content and some of the key gameplay just pales in comparison to Xenoverse 2 for me, where you're given more options on how you want to fight, not to mention that you're able to keep the action in mid-air indefinitely. Perhaps FighterZ IS amazing for being better than Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite by a truckton, but in terms of being the "best Dragon Ball game", FighterZ has miles to go for that.
Edit: This is all merely opinion on my end, and in no semblance "fact".
Online is dead in this game(switch version) excellent game though
I am so glad I have this game. It is such an awesome game.
I like Videl, might have to get this season pass. Shame she puts up with Gohan tho.
@BenGrimm How is Gohan not a good husband?
Meanwhile I hope this triggers a season 1 sale.
Yeah, Online sucks on the Switch version. Basically all lobbies except the first american one are empty.
@riChchestM
Sorry, guess I could have worded it better. I don’t think his a bad husband or even a bad person, I just don’t like the character.
@StephenYap3 You have a point. DragonballFZ is ironically more for the casuals when it comes to the Dragonball fandom. Like the people who like DBZ because it reminded them of Street Fighter (You know hadoken, Kamehameha) will like FighterZ a lot, especially on a more competitive level.
Xenoverse and Tenkaichi/Ragingblast are more DBZ simulators then fighting games and i prefer more development for these type of games too. Even more in the Tenkaichi line then Xenoverse.
I think this games awesome i just haven't had enough time to play over smash (I'm trying to learn both games, at the moment Smash hooks me in more). Its a shame the lobbies are quiet, but i guess people like myself don't help!
It'd be great if it was crossplay with the other consoles and PC.
@Sanangelo89 I bought, hated and returned Xenoverse 2. That's doesn't make me a casual. I hated its gameplay style. Yet I've seen every episode of DB from 1 to the current end of Super (except GT of course).
@riChchestM i said MORE for the casual DB-fan.
Not everyone who likes DBZ is a freak like us😅. A lot of people who know Dragonballz from 90s not knowing its still Booming this day.
My point is more that FighterZ is better playable with casual fans while Xenoverse2 needs more explaining, its not pick up and play while FZ is.
The free roaming concept just works better to simulate DBZ action(supersonic warriors on GBA started this before Tenkaichi) , while FZ converts DBZ to a 2d fighting game.
