Koei Tecmo has been one of the biggest supporters of the Switch and it doesn't appear as if it will be slowing down production on the hybrid platform any time soon. Following the announcement Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Scarlet would surface on Nintendo's latest system early next year, the Japanese company is now reportedly teasing a new game announcement for Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC via a new website, with the following line:
"The fated battle begins."
The big reveal is scheduled for 6th December. As Gematsu notes, this announcement will take place in Japan many hours before the Video Game Awards has even started in the US. Given how this game will also be appearing on multiple other platforms, don't expect to see any special Nintendo cross-overs like Hyrule Warriors or Fire Emblem Warriors. While you might have already convinced yourself it's another announcement linked to the long-running Warriors series, some fans are speculating Ninja Gaiden could make a comeback.

It’s best not to get hopes up for Ninja Gaiden. It lives on through the Messenger, with Koei Tecmo now mainly focusing on the Warriors Franchise. (I think I may have unintentionally peeved some people off with this comment…)
A mainline Dead or Alive game would be awesome. The tease sounds like it's a new Nobunga's Ambition title though.

@The-Chosen-one That’s actually a good idea. A Subspace Emissary-like story with themed characters in each stage (though I probably shouldn’t take that remark seriously, since it’s not exclusive to Switch, but still a good idea).

@retro_player_22 It appears that Nintendo co-owns the Fatal Frame franchise w/ Koei Tecmo, so it’s unlikely that it would be FF since the game is cross platform.

@PolarExperience plus ninja gaiden 3 razor edge came to the wii u as well like that game so it would make sense they should gave us the whole trilogy for switch.

Seriously there are about a thousand Warriors games on the Switch already. And people slag off yearly releases like Fifa and CoD.

A Ninja Gaiden game would be great
I would say either warriors or a nobunaga game (localize tashi please... text is too small for me to fight with the Japanese version). I would love a fighter but I doubt we are getting a real doa.

Been keeping tabs on Atelier series since Sophie, and after the financial strategy of Lydie and Suelle (check the price of the season pass for it!!!) and substandard/overpriced collector's edition of Nelke I won't be holding my breath here

I read the title half expecting something that could hint at a Fatal Frame/Project Zero game, but if it's coming to all these platforms, I guess that's unlikely. I mean I know Nintendo doesn't own the IP but it's been very Nintendo centric since the Wii days and all the way through the Wii U generation.

My first thought was Warriors, though they just launched the newest Warriors game on Switch with Orochi 3, so that might not be the best timing.
The fine print says PS4, Nintendo Switch/Windows....no XBox.... that makes me think fighter probably. Gaiden would be on XBox. It's not DoA because the new one's not out yet and they already announced an old one. The flames make me think Tekken.....but Tekken 7 is still new with a new year 2 DLC, and this is an announce for PS4 too.
@Hikaru Do not tease me. Nioh 2 on Switch would be amazing! Though I'd think they'd port 1 before 2. And they still haven't done XBox which seems more obvious a choice. It's possible though, Valkyria 1 never made it to XBox, but 4 launched on X1 and Switch.

@Paulywally I wouldn't mind a new Ninja Gaiden game in theory. But if they do make another one, I hope they don't follow the example of Razor's Edge (or worse, port it). I like hack and slash, but I found that game tedious because the fights drug out way too long. And its over use of quick time events was cancer.
