Mario

UK chart figures are now in covering last week's sales, with Red Dead Redemption 2 leading a multi-platform charge to supremacy and leaving Nintendo's presence looking rather sparse.

Rockstar's Western showstopper has generated more than double the number of physical sales managed by the 2010 original - which is even more impressive when considering the decline in popularity of physical media - comfortably slotting it into first place this time around. Other popular, recent releases such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 also remain at the top, with Nintendo's Super Mario Party clinging on to an eight place position.

The effects of these large, multiplatform releases (which are actually only available on consoles other than Switch) can be more easily seen in the individual formats chart, where Nintendo only has one title in the top ten - and in tenth, no less. We're now less than three weeks away from the release of Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! - with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate coming not long after - so Nintendo will no doubt be hoping for more success in the weeks to come.

Here's a look at this week's top ten all formats chart (physical sales only):

1. (New) Red Dead Redemption 2
2. (1) Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
3. (2) FIFA 19
