2K has revealed a brand new update for NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 which brings some free, spooky Halloween content (plus some extra goodies, too) to the game. This DLC arrives on PlayStation4, Xbox One and PC today, but will arrive on Switch "at a later date".

The update introduces a fancy, new Halloween playground, an assortment of Halloween-themed outfits (available via Swag Pack unlocks), and a new lottery pick called the Ankle Breaker, all of which can be seen in the trailer above. That's not all, though, as all-time great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has also been added to NBA 2K Playgrounds 2’s roster of unlockable players.

As is often the case with updates these days, today's new release also features a number of improvements and balance changes that hope to address issues reported by players since launch, including "refinements for character speed, blocking rates, and three-pointer percentages, as well as a variety of minor technical fixes to address issues with lag, AI, and the shot meter".

Naturally, we hope that these improvements will also find their way into the Switch edition's eventual update, but there's no word just yet on the exact date 2K was referring to. At least we know it's definitely on the way, though, hopefully adding to the larger-than-life fun already on offer.
