NIS America has announced that MissX will be the latest downloadable character for SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy, "bending the rules" next month.
If you're not especially clued up on your SNK knowledge, MissX was the host of the Queen of Fighters tournament in the 2000 Neo Geo Pocket Color game SNK Gals' Fighters. This time around, she's returning to the arena as a participant, and although she bears a resemblance to another renowned battler, MissX is "her own brand of badass" (the PR's wording, not ours).
Thanks to this striking resemblance, some of her attacks might seem a little familiar, but she does have some new moves that your opponents won't be expecting. She also comes bundled with three costumes and two voice sets for a nice bit of welcome variety.
MissX makes her debut in SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy on 15th November as DLC for Nintendo Switch.

Okay, I wasn't that thrilled about Terry showing up as a nonconsensually genderswapped character, but now we have Iori in both crossdress AND trans versions, it might be time to order this game just for the hell yeah vote.
This game is gonna keep sucking money out of me huh.... Already have the first two DLC characters, Guess I'll grab this one before the end of the year.

Finally. I honestly would've traded all these genderbent characters for the return appearance of "Miss X" from Gal Fighters...and I still don't want to go anywhere near this game because they're in the game, so too late now. But I'm glad they at least remembered the old joke.

@CanisWolfred You still have the option of playing the original MissX, the third "costume" is the male MissX.
@DanteSolablood That's not the point, they already ruined the joke - Miss X was supposed to just be Iori, in girls clothes, and yet no one could figure out who he was, and fans were already joking about how feminine he always looked, so it was a one-two punch that made it both good fanservice, and a funny subversion of expectations. This just feels like they completely missed the point, a conclusion I've come to far too often when analyzing this game in general, but this really is the last straw for me. This game is, and has always been, a low-effort cash grab that reuses assets from KOF XIV and adds a cynically exploitative layer on top of it, while completely failing as both a parody, and as fanservice. I am sorry I ever gave it attention at this point.
I still haven’t gotten the other 2 DLC characters yet. To be honest, I’m not really feeling these DLC characters. I definitely get the whole Miss X thing back on Gal Fighters but I really want B. Janet. Seems like a missed opportunity right there.
