The Nintendo Switch Nindies Showcase Summer 2018 may have been relatively short and sweet, but one standout announcement was the reveal of Untitled Goose Game for Switch.
Untitled Goose Game is a slapstick-stealth-sandbox game where you play as a goose let loose on an unsuspecting village of innocent bystanders. You'll be waddling your way around town, from people's gardens to the high street shops and the village green, setting up your very own goosey pranks, stealing people's hats, and doing an unnecessary amount of honking.
No extra details were shown for the title other than the fact that a release window of "early 2019" has been set, but you can check out the Nindies portion of the video here, and some lovely screenshots below.
We don't even know what to ask about for comments on this one, but we're absolutely ready to play this as soon as it launches. What a wonderful concept...

the best announcement from Nindies
This is the reason to get up in the morning.
Dunkey needs to play this game.
One of the only announcements that interested me in the entire showcase.
This game looks hilarious. Hopefully it's as fun as it looks.
Honestly, this looks like a ton of fun, I love the concept.
Hey guys. This looks...worth a gander!
(sorry)
This is the type of games I love. Out of left field concepts that actually look fun. I will be keeping both eyes closely locked on this one.
@GrailUK That was not good for the goose
Looks weird but fun lol wouldn't mind picking it up if the price is right.
I wondered what happened to this game after they announced it at E3 last year. Or even longer ago? Ages anyway.
Hmm, October 2017 apparently. Not as long ago as I thought! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wQknBJo4aBQ
I've know I've seen this game before?
Like on Game Grumps or Achievement Hunter or something similar.
This looks hilarious. Can’t wait.
Goat Simulator would be fun as well.
I can definitely vouch for the realistic nature of this game—my parents own a goose (fondly referred to as their guard goose) who likes to chase my dog and me when I visit.
@g_ruz
Our next door neighbour had a goose, when I was a kid... it was a vicious, homicidal, relentless, diabolic nightmare!!!
Metal Goose Solid
I might be flinging a few nest eggs at this one at some point. I find this concept hilarious, partially because some of these scenarios do happen! XD
@BigBluePanda Such a lust for revenge! GOOOOOOOOSE!
Use the other door the goose will attack if you go out through this door.
This looks fantastic, I'm 99% sold on it already
Only one that interested me
My dad had a goose called Eric and he was very much like this. He once clamped his beak onto my sister’s bum and wouldn’t let go. It was fantastic.
@GrailUK yeah man, I’m down with that. “Down” see what I did there?
@Glitchling78
That is fantastic! 😆 How long did it go on for?
@Ooyah I’d say at least 5 minutes. He was flapping like crazy! That story gets brought up most Christmasses.
YESSS!!! I was hoping this would get ported.
Looks fun...
@Glitchling78 well done Eric!
Yes. This is going to be a good game.
Can't wait to play Untitled Goose as the secret Smash DLC drop.
I really wish there could be a way to jump inside the mind that came up with this game concept.
How about "Feel free to let loosie goosie in the comments below'?
Yayyy my mates made this game!
Hearing nothing about Wargroove means this is the best announcement of the video. Looks quite entertaining.
Is that actually the title? The thing seems so bonkers it could well be, but I'm not 100% on that.
Yessss!
This and Mineko have left quite the impression on me. Can’t wait to hear more about this!
It looks like a less "lolrandom" Goat Simulator.
They could make an even meaner version about a wild Canadian goose.
I couldn't help but chuckle at this. What a time we live in... we get a game you can be a pranking goose and Nefarious where you get to be the bad guy. I may consider both of these just because they're so unconventional.
I noticed that it looks like Panic is involved in developing this game. They have made great utility apps for the Mac for a long time. I suspect the game will be really good based on their past projects.
The Switch seller.
Played this at PAX last weekend and it is indeed a lot of fun. We only got to play one "mission" where you menace the gardener and complete a checklist of todos like, put his rake in the lake, get him wet, steal his keys etc. It was pretty fun and funny to watch people play.
