Showing absolutely no signs of slowing down, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has kept hold of its number one chart position in the UK for a fifth consecutive week.
It was a quieter-than-usual week in the UK gaming retail space this week, with a lack of truly major new releases or huge physical sales - like last week's charts which were heavily affected by Amazon Prime Day - to play any huge impact on the final table. Joining Crash in its quest for consistently high placements is LEGO The Incredibles, which has also remained right near the top of the charts for several weeks.
You can see the complete top ten below for yourself, but other Nintendo entries this week include Super Mario Odyssey at 13th, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker at 15th, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild at 16th, Octopath Traveler at 22nd, new entry Go Vacation at 23rd, Splatoon 2 at 26th, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze at 33rd, and WarioWare Gold, which just about squeezed its way in during its opening week with a 39th place position.
1. (1) Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy
2. (2) LEGO The Incredibles
3. (8) The Crew 2
4. (7) God of War
5. (10) Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
6. (11) Call of Duty: WWII
7. (18) Grand Theft Auto V
8. (5) Sonic Mania Plus
9. (14) Jurrasic World Evolution
10. (13) Mario Tennis Aces
Did you buy any of these chart-topping games this week? Any surprises? Let us know your thoughts below.

Why are there so few reviews for warioware?
Sadly, the continued decline of the 3DS has led to a poor debut for WarioWare Gold.
We don't currently know how it's selling in North America, but if reception has been similar, i really hope Nintendo identifies waning interest in the 3DS as the culprit here and not consumer interest in the WarioWare series.
Chibi-Robo's death was hard enough :[
Well done crash
I think I'm going to have to pick up Warioware. I adored them on the GBA and DS...not too sure why I haven't gone for this. Now...where did I put my 3DS...
It's out already?
I didn’t even know there was a new WarioWare game out. 😐
How the heck is GTA V still selling so well??? Can we get it on Switch? That'll keep it selling well for well into the future. I mean, if it can run on PS3 and Xbox 360, there should be no issue with porting it to the Switch.
@TheOpponent in Europe/UK. NA and Japan gets it on August 3, 2018
@GrailUK Because they rehashed all the older mini games, just like they did with Rhythm Heaven. The whole fun with these games was unlocking new creative and funny mini games. Now you've seen it all before.
@Heavyarms55 Just put this in 144p

I’ve hardly been on switch since I downloaded Pokemon crystal! Can’t believe it was really enjoying octopath but then got side tracked with crystal 😳😁
@jobvd We didn't get code until VERY late week. Which is perhaps why it did so badly in the UK charts - no reviews, no one realised it was out!
Perfectly illustrating why these games should be coming out on Switch
Go Vacation sold better than I expected - more than WarioWare, at least. I suspect that the game will have decent legs.
Great Mario Kart 8 DX and Mario Tennis Aces sales.
@CCore28 Yeah. I have to agree that it is better suited to 3DS and i understand why they went with that system. That said, it can't stay on 3DS if it wants to have a future moving forward.
UK hasn’t exactly been the best market for 3DS in general. It had its moments but in general 3DS games have done far worse than Switch games have in general even looking back several years. I am more curious to see how it does in France, the US and Japan.
And yeah those reviews have been really slow in coming up which probably didn’t help with visibility for the game....
Warioware sales will go up after they reveal Ashley for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Well it's a quickly cobbled together compilation game on a declining system, so probably to be expected.
With the shortage of new 3ds games you would think it would have done a lot better.
Maybe gamers don't play the 3ds if they have a Switch or maybe Wario is not the big seller.
This is probably all the 3DS will get now, along with the Luigi's Mansion port and the Bowser's Inside Story remake. They're repurposing existing games to add a few last titles for the 3DS library.
With Wario Ware Gold's underwhelming sales though, I can see them trying it again with the Switch. After all, it can do nearly everything required for Mash, Touch, and Twist gameplay. It can't do Blow though, no microphone.
Captain Toad deserves to sell a lot more.
Dario ware is good fun but is rather a new Dario platforms..I prefer his character in those games
Make a new Wario Land game and I'll buy it, I'm not a fan of mini-games compilation so WarioWare Gold isn't for me.
@Heavyarms55: The reason why GTAV continues to have this much momentum after all this time baffles me, too. The mod community, maybe?
I haven't bought WarioWare yet because my birthday's coming up so I'm hoping I'll get it then (if no one buys it for me I'll definitely buy it myself) but I can't wait to play it!
@Tyranexx has been discounted (finally) to around the £25 mark. Which makes it a bit more of an impulse buy.
@Toads-Friend Definitely! Harder than I thought it would be too. Nice game.
As usual - heading into August is pretty dead. Works well this year, seeing how September is the start to the insane end of year release schedule.
@Sakura7: Yep, discounts are definitely motivators!
Oh crap, this came out? No one was talking about it.
I'll probably get this soon.
At this point I think the only thing that'll remove GTAV from the list will be GTAVI.
Cya
Raziel-chan
This is the biggest release of the year so far for me. I ADORE WarioWare!
From what I also understand, WarioWare Gold was probably also released in semi limited quantities, if going by GAME stores in UK and previous history of swan song games on previous Nintendo systems.
I guess I should pick up sometime this week, as will probably be a rare game.
@jobvd a few reviews only appeared online in the last 24 hours but there were outlets that did have reviews out sooner. Game Informer, GameXplain and Miketendo64. (The latter's review was presented as if Wario wrote the review.)
@sandman89 What in the world r u talking about?
@DABYX hard game? I beated the whole game and odyssey levels in under 7h went to the shop and traded it for octopath instead (in the end cost me 10£). That game is easy and boring as hell
Not surprised about WarioWare. Nintendo’s Core 3DS audience nowadays (young kids) probably don’t remember the last time a WW game was released. It does look like a good game (I’ll probably pick it up on sale) and I hope Nintendo doesn’t abandon the series just because of poor sales.
@Heavyarms55 Theres a new Nightclub DLC thing released for it recently. Its been advertised, so those few people that either don't have it on every system or sold it but wanna buy it again for the new DLC probably contributed.
@BigKing The Switch would easily run the game in 720. Or perhaps at worst, 600. But 144? You're delusional.
@MasterJay what you mean? I’m saying crystal is really good and it looks like I’m gonna beat it before octopath
@sandman89 Oh, so you got crystal on 3ds, I thought you said you had it on switch, which confused me
I understand WHY warioware came out on the 3ds, but it came out at the wrong time...should have been out about two years ago. I'll likely get it at the end of the year. I'll use the holiday to round out my 3ds collection before I'm done buying for the system.
@Folkloner Nintendo (and especially their fanboys) can't accept that the 3DS is really a dead system, that only got popular in 2016 because of the Pokemon halo. Once that wore off, and Switch came out, the market is showing there's really no interest in 3DS. The games are where Nintendo makes their money, yet lying Reggie, and gullible fanboys, keep saying how "well" 3DS is doing, because of hardware sales, which are skewed too, because of how many models and special editions are bought up by collectors and scalpers. The true install base of 3DS is massively low (proven by the horrible attach rate), not to mention that financially the 3DS dropped like 80% in revenue- what that means is that compared to this time last year, it's only making about 20% of what it made during the same time period. Clearly the market sees Switch as the successor whether or not lying Reggie and gullible fanboys want to admit it or not. Oh, and why lying Reggie? Because he said in June that 3DS hardware sales were up in America, but their quarterly report shows it's not only down worldwide, but in America it was over 50% LOWER, not up!
@Heavyarms55 Prove me wrong wrong bruah.
Where's GTA5 on the Switch?
Tell me.
Where is it?
Oh wait, it will never be on the Switch.
@BigKing perhaps not, but not because the Switch cannot run it.
