Pichu And Ice Climbers Receiving Ultimate amiibo Makeover For Super Smash Bros.

Will I wait in line super early for stores to open and shove the other nerds out of the way like an animal so I can get them all again? The answer is yes, I will.

Pichu in general is going need a worthwhile buff to even be worth bringing back in this game. Sure he was faster tha Pikachu but having less weight, weaker attacks, and hurting itself really will keep him unusable... hopefully they took that into account this time!

@Captain_Gonru It depends where they’ll be releasing them. Because target, for example, has had amiibo exclusive deals for a few characters. I’ll be wherever they release! Ice Climbers is my main want lol

Must have Snake and Ridley, maybe Ice Climbers. Already have Daisy and Inkling Girl. Don’t really care about Pichu. It’s a good opportunity to reprint some of the harder to find ones as well. They were popular on the WiiU and since the Switch is so much more popular they should take the opportunity to get more on the streets.

Not going to bother with any more Amiibo I think. Didn't really make use of them and they're just gathering dust. Looking forward to Smash Bros though.

@Captain_Gonru Good point about the amiibo locations. Gamestop will probably be announcing a lot of US exclusives, which will almost be a redundant statement. And even though Target and Walmart are pretty much out of the toys-to-life game Walmart is having that summer series, and Target had 2, count'em two, SMO Mario amiibo last week. Gone this week, but they were there. If Nintnedo continues to announce only 3 at a time Target will carry them. There wont' be another dozen AC amiibo fiasco though. I own almost all the AC amiibo now, TRU bankruptcy addiction.

I have all the existing Smash amiibo so naturally I’ll want these, as well. And while I hope they make figurines of some of the characters with updated designs (namely the Zelda characters), I hope they don’t relaunch the whole line with 58 new figurines in updated poses. The collector in me would want them so bad, but my wallet can’t handle it again, nor can I take the stress of trying to hunt them down when Nintendo invariably underproduces them.

I have to take a firm stance to myself and say no more. It was pointless buying them all in the first place (other than my shelf looks incredible). I could probably sell them all to afford my holiday to Tokyo next year

Very nice, I want to get a hold of the Snake amiibo. I've got Ryu but didn't end up buying Cloud or Bayonetta. My wife managed to get me the Villager amiibo a few weeks ago, which was pretty awesome. Even if I don't need every one, I'm very okay with more franchise representation.

Given the lack of stores that sell Amiibos anymore, I genuinely don't look forward to getting any in the slightest. Sure, I want a Ridley and Young Link one, and if they release ones for Zelda, Ganondorf, and BotW Link I'll go for those too, but online ordering for amiibo is garbage, and always has been with a few minor examples. I hope Gamestop actually gets stock, otherwise I'll be empty handed on all counts. Purchases from scalpers never have been, and never will be an option for me.

@MH4 ARMS amiibo figures sound good, but they might be a bit of a stretch. XD

@Alundra-1998 It would help to extend the game’s lifespan. I’d spring forward the cash in a heartbeat. Of course, my obsession has probably spiraled out of control, and that’s not a stretch at all.
