With the exception of a few titles such as Super Bomberman R, Konami is one of the few developers to show a continued investment in Nintendo Switch, but that could be about to change with news that the Japanese firm has two unannounced titles that it plans to unveil at E3 2018.
The two mysterious titles are listed on Konami's official page on the E3 2018 website, with one stated to be an 'action/adventure' and the other a 'compilation'. With no more details available at the moment, we're all now left to wonder what Konami could be planning. Could we be seeing a compilation of classic hits from the firm's past? Switch has become a retro powerhouse since launch, after all. A Bomberman anthology perhaps.
Or maybe, just maybe, Metal Gear could be making its way to Nintendo yet again. Of course, that would be mean without Hideo Kojima's involvement, but still, it would be a welcome addition to Switch's library (especially considering a number of Metal Gear titles have made their way to fellow handheld PS Vita over the years).
You'll have to wait until next week and the Nintendo Direct: E3 2018 broadcast to learn more. Let us know what you're hoping to see Konami unveil...

A Castlevania Collection is pretty likely, though. Some shmup collection (Gradius, Parodius, Twinbee, etc.) would be nice as well. And of course a Goemon one, but that's very unlikely seeing how most titles only came out in Japan.

I think the compilation will be eithet a Konami Arcade collection (please be this) or a Castlevania collection. They said they're bringing the Wii Rebirth series to Switch but I doubt that would be released as a collection seeing as there was only 3 games released.
When I think of Konami I think of:
Castlevania (likely to be one of the two games)
Metal Gear
Probotector
Gradius/Parodius
Mystical Ninja
But above all else I think SUIKODEN (Collection featuring 1-3 and 5 please!)

Regardless, I agree. The quality of writing has really dropped recently, and it's a shame. I love NL, but it's getting harder to understand the phrasing and context of articles.

Castlevania and gradius collections would be mint not so sure about metal gear anymore it seems to have more cut scenes than actual gameplay and the most ridiculous story ever I’m not even sure if the writers know what’s going on

I didn't want to say anything at the expense of being rude, but I have to agree with you, I typically find MULTIPLE typos in EVERY article. I feel like a quick proofread is all it would take to pick up on these grammatical mistakes. I guess we can't complain too much as this is a free site (yeah, there's ads, but they're not too intrusive). It's still agitating, but at least Nintendo Life isn't some paid service. Is it too late to get Tom Whitehead back?
@Not_Soos Sadly Tom was right to leave, he had too much integrity for this site and felt he couldn't keep up with modern gaming journalism's demands, i.e. clickbait articles (like the Fallout one a couple of days ago).
They make pure trash these days, so I can't say I'm excited. They care more about Pachinko machines rather than investing in AAA games. What they did with the MGS brand is disgusting, it had the same quality as a Steam asset flip.
I would lose it if the compilation was for the Suikoden series and the action/adventure was a Metal Gear (if not a new game than a port of Phantom Pain, not Survival) but it will likely be neither. 😞
SoTN HD Redesign using the new Grimoire of Souls asset style (which looks lovely at least). OR they total repurpose the whole Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls on iOS plans and turn it into a proper Console Metroidvania SoTN evolution!

With PES, MGS and Castlevania, Konami own three of my favourite game franchises so would love any of those. Would be incredible to play MGS 5 on the go. Without a doubt my favourite PS4 game.

Bloody Roar hasn't been mentioned in here yet, and probably for good reason, as its unlikely to be revived anytime soon.
But it's one of the few fighting game series that I enjoy.

I really don't think it would be Metal Gear 5, but maybe it's one of the older games. Snake Eater got put on 3DS a few years ago. Also, I don't think anyone would complain about a Castlevania appearance of some kind. Well... knowing how people are, there would definitely still be complaints.
If Konami still has a shred of decency they will try to revive Castlevania.
But I doubt it.

As much as I don't like Konami as a company based off what we've heard about them they are holding several franchises hostage like it or not. So compilation wise definitely would like Castlevania, Silent HIll, Gradius, Contra. Not a huge fan of Metal Gear games besides the original NES one.
To everyone requesting MGS4 in some way, it's highly unlikely. The game was developed around the PS3's hardware to such a point that the Xbox 360 never even got a port. The game is still exclusive to PS3. Considering how Konami has pulled away from high investment game development over the last 5 years in particular, I can't see them going through the effort to port the game to Switch. Doesn't mean I wouldn't gladly welcome a good port though.

I for one have really no use for another MGS re-release of some sort here. I don't need these games on the Switch - like very close to zero interest. I would kill for Castlevania compilation though. Just being able to replay the NDS ones on the Switch with a few minor upgrades would be totally worth it to me, not to mention having like a really exhaustive legacy collection of course.
Should point out that both of these listings are multiplatform listings and not Switch-specific ones.
Konami Kollection Line announced with Castlevania Collection vol. 1 - NES, MSX, SNES, GENESIS, Sharp X68000 era (sales dictate a vol. 2) releasing in October with an Arcade classics to come later, Bomberman following that. The new game I'm thinking is a Bonk Reboot (not sure what they'd do with Contra) for the action adventure game.
A collection of Castlavania or Contra games would be absolutely fantastic. I bet the action/adventure is a new Castlevania.

There are just so many games I hope that they can be. I would be happy if we got a MGS HD collection or a Z.O.E HD collection (I replied to Konami on Twitter with this idea so maybe they listened hahah!) I would be happy if it was a Castlevania collection. A Wiiware Rebirth compilation. An arcade classics collection. Basically Konami...you have buckets of games that you could put on the Switch.
As for the action / adventure game? I am happy to be surprised so I'm not going to guess

Yep, I think you're absolutely right that this is what he intended to write. However, even if it was, the first line still doesn't make sense. Why would a few titles early on in the Switch's lifespan be an exception to their non-continued investment?
They need to scrap it and start again.
