While it's been a relatively quiet week for the games industry (and the month as a whole, compared to the fanfare that saw Nintendo Switch's launch a year ago), we did some activity on the Nintendo Switch front. The multiformat monster that is FIFA 18 continued a strong run with another week at number two, although Mario Kart 8 Deluxe dropped from number four to number seven as Forza Motorsport 7 revved back into the top five.
Super Mario Odyssey also had a decent week, with sales that pushed it from number 11 back into the top ten at a respectable number nine. Outside of the top ten, The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild also had a better week making the shift from number from 18 to 15. Here's the full list:
1(1) Far Cry 5
2(2) FIFA 18
3(3) Sea Of Thieves
4(9) Forza Motorsport 7
5(5) PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds
6(6) Call Of Duty: WII
7(4) Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
8(10) Grand Theft Auto V
9(11) Super Mario Odyssey
10(12) Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy
So what do you make of last week's chart performances? Will Nintendo Labo make an impact among the big hitters come the end of April? Share your thoughts below...

Good to see the game still going, despite not winning GOTYs left and right like Zelda. It's likely Nintendo has avoided lining up much of anything for the beginning of the year precisely to give all the Christmas adopters a chance to catch up with Mario.
Many "core gamers" tend to dismiss sports games all the time, apparently being completely ignorant of how big a part of the industry it is. What's more, those games are usually not centered around violence, which is a common detraction ("all games are violent shooters!" etc).
Number one spots change a lot, but FIFA is consistently up there at 2 or 3.
Mario Kart 8 is close to its first anniversary and is still going strong.
The fact that Nintendo's games, even those nearly a year old, can still be in the top 10 nearly every week is saying a lot about the popularity of the Switch even in the UK. I assume hardware sales must still be pretty strong over here which is a very good sign.
As usual - Nintendo is keeping the Switch relevant. Just shows how mediocre the 2018 line up has been so far - Kirby went as quickly as it came.
RARE still up there - nice to see them with a Hit.
Great stuff, the like of Splatoon 2 and 1-2 Switch also feature in the charts, and the Switch version of Fifa 18.
@Agramonte Kirby is still there, 19 in the Individual Format Units and 14 in the Individual Format Value, which is revenue generated. Fifa on Switch, Mario & Rabbids and Pokken Tournament are all still hanging about too.
Glad to see it doing well. It's such a great game. Personally, I have somewhat moved on from 3D platformers in general, as they just don't appeal to me like they used to. I put about 30 hours into Odyssey and moved on - but it's recently sucked me back in, which is rare for this type of game.
@MartyFlanMJFan Plus I bet Kirby will make it on the March NPD list and at Media Create sales charts it has been on top 5 for 2 weeks.
Far Cry is such a good game. A title that could never be realized on the Switch, unfortunately. Having as much fun in it as I did with Breath of the Wild.
Announce a damn switch pro with the Tegra X2, Nintendo.
@gatorboi352 I don't have money to buy another Switch so soon, i'm not millionaire.
@gatorboi352
FarCry wouldn't come to Switch even if a Tetra X10 was used as its processor.
@westman98 why do you say that?
@gatorboi352
Because hardware specs aren't the reason why Ubisoft isn't releasing their open-world games on Switch. Their fear that Nintendo fans don't buy violent M-rated action games is - this came after all of their M-rated action titles on Wii U flopped hard.
This is why 7th gen ports like Assassin's Creed Ezio Collection, Rogue Remastered, and Far Cry 3 have yet to be announced for Switch.
And does the Tegra X2 even exist in relevant consumer electronics hardware? Last I heard it was still being used by Nvidia exclusively for the AI in their self-driving cars. Eurogamer put the Tegra X2 in the spotlight when they speculated that it might be used in the Switch when they leaked the NX concept to the world.
Sigh. I was somewhat excited for FC5 but talking with friends that play way more shooters than I do have changed my mind.
@Agramonte
I've never thought the UK market cared much about Kirby (unlike the US market) so not surprised its not high up in the charts, besides its not really a great game / system seller like Mario Kart or Odyssey.
I'm assuming that as usual the 'charts' are for physical sales only, which kind of makes them irrelevant. I was really pleased to see both Skyrim and Doom back in the Switch European download charts during their promotional sale.
@SmaggTheSmug My issue with sports games like Fifa(or is if FIFA?) or Madden is the way they release yearly still. It is just greedy. In the era of updates and DLC we don't need Fifa 17, 18, 19 etc anymore. We need Fifa Switch, Fifa PS4 and Fifa Xbone with updates as needed and years DLC add ons. Frankly I think updating the teams and player rosters should be something done in real time, for free if you own the game. But I know that would lose them money - thus DLC, still profits them, but also much more consumer friendly.
When they want to release new modes or features, those can be updates or DLC.
It isn't like Pokemon, or COD where the games are entirely reworked each time with new stories, locations and the like.
Soccer is soccer, Football is football.
Crash still hanging in there. I've been enjoying the first game again on PS1 lately: https://youtu.be/by0y-Jo8yNA
