It might not have been much of a secret, given that it's been rumoured several times already, but today's Nintendo Direct has confirmed that Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is coming to Switch.
All three games will be included, just like the incredibly successful PS4 version. That's over 100 levels of Crash action, all lovingly remastered for portable play.

So happy that Crash is coming to the Switch!
Excellent news! Crash was a big part of my childhood.
This is cool - this fits perfect on the switch. Lets hope the price also stays the same as the PS4 version
Better not be full price.
Pretty sweet
Heck yesssss
I have it on PS4, but being able to play a game like this on the go would be awesome.
Definitely going to double dip for this.
Probably going to double dip. Sure the remaster was a bit problematic in particular to Crash 1, but it was still a great blast from the past.
I'll probably pick this up at some point.
@LeRaposa
It was 40 dollars when it launched on PS4. I imagine it would be the same on Switch.
Can we please have the option to skip the opening cinematic.
I already have this on the PS4... but I will certainly double dip to play on the go!
...welp time to toss the ps 4 copy.
If this were handled by Crapcom, only the first game would be on cartridge with the remainder being download only.
@16bitdave Heck WWOOOOOAAAAHHH
Love this one!
N-Sane !
Sayonara ps4 version...!
Hello, Nintendo Switch version !
I'll be giving these a try! I've heard great things about the series.
Let's hope they don't give this port the Gamecube treatment, you all know what I'm talking about; the butchered the GCN port of Crash back in the day, screwing up the framerate.
Okami HD was the highlight of the Direct. This was okay and the Smash announcement was cool. Color me disappointed overall.
I don’t have much history with Crash though I did love Crash Team Racing back in the day, wish that was a part of this collection!
Alright!
Amazing news.
@Prof_Yoshtonics U are joking, yes ?
First game on the cart and you have to download the other 2 😉 All for a tenner more than the PS4 version (probably)
@ShadJV Crash Team Racing was a Mario Kart 64 beater, amazing game!
@Deleted84 as its 30fps on PS4 i doubt the Switch can double the framerate
It finally bin confirmed.
@nmanifold basically. I mean I love Mario Kart but... the only two games in that style that beat it out in my opinion are Crash Team Racing and Sonic Racing Transformed. And CTR’s battle mode was everything MK’s battle mode should be! (Not that it’s bad, but CTR did it perfectly and with characters I had zero nostalgia for.)
@Prof_Yoshtonics Nintendo need to keep the big stuff for E3. Overwall I think the direct was pretty good. You surely have a good view too.
Oh yes!! My one regret about selling my ps4 was having to let crash go with it.
Thankfully I can play it again.
For anyone who hasn't played it... It's amazing
Cool for those who like Crash, I guess.
I'll probably buy Captain Toad Treasure Tracker instead, as I never bothered with the Wii U version. Holiday 2014 was Smash Bros Wii U and little else.
@premko1 I thought the same.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Heck, yes.
Crash for Smash.
I'm glad I'm holding off buying games in hope of them coming to the switch. so far it's paying off which is awesome.
@premko1 I wish bud. Nothing really excited me much. The fact that No More Heroes is a top down view like soooooo many paltry Indie games is really disappointing. The 3DS games should be on Switch. Still no VC. Where's Wolfenstein? D-pad Joy-cons? New game announcements. I've played all the ports. Crash, South Park, Okami. Tennis was weak. I don't play Arms or Splatoon. I was hoping for one, just one announcement on the Dark Souls, Y's VIII, Wolfenstein level. @0muros
No thanks. I have it on my ps4 pro. Bring us something new. These ports only make happy those ppl who only have switch.
HHHEEEEHEHHEHEHEHEHE
Rumor confirmed! Sweet. Now, do I buy it again for portability? Ugh, it’s tempting.
I'll be double dipping on this.
Oddly enough, I didn't get this on PS4 like I planned to. I'm gonna get this on Switch now tho.
It's an amazing remaster of great games. If they keep going like this, I won't have a reason to own a PS4
The only game that made me want a ps4
I honestly did not believe the rumors, so this has left me super excited! Day one purchase for me!
What kind of a world do we live in where Crash 1-3 is playable on the Switch and Mario 64 isn't?
Crash for the win!
Nice.
Looks like I’ll be holding off buying a PS4, till kingdom hearts 3 comes out
Always obvious this would happen. Now we begin the bit where I categorically state I won't double dip, before the 'convincing myself' stage and the inevitable purchase.
The PS4 version was awesome, and I've been waiting for a Switch / Xbone One release. Since the Switch can use GameCube controllers, that makes the Switch version a must buy for me!
@Axlroselm
I disagree. I own a PS4 and Switch. I’ll be buying Dark Souls on Switch because I can take it with me. Same goes for South Park, Crash, Wolfenstein, and (when/if it’s announced) Diablo III.
What do you want? Nothing but exclusive titles from third parties? That rarely happens for anyone anymore. A lot of these games are current gen titles, released months later. Myself, I’m happy to have an endless barrage of things to play, for a change.
I don’t wanna buy this.
I don’t
I don’t want to.
I know I’ll buy it
Wow now that’s a big announcement!
I already own this on Ps4 on the Platform where it originally released back in the day when Crash was the Sony PS1 mascote. But I might get this when it is on sale for cheap for the Switch.
@Deleted84
4k 120? anything less and i'm out.
but honestly doom is awful on anything but PC.
i do agree though; switch 2 should be coming sooner than later. mobile chips move fast and while they'll never be able to pump a bunch of electricity and heat like the slowtwins and PC, moving the system faster will net N big benefits.
Sounds good
@Prof_Yoshtonics
E3 i'd say.
@Axlroselm
or that never played. i didn't buy a psSlow/proslow or an xslow so a lot of these games never came to PC.
portable is gold for my lifestyle so as long as the portable frame rate/graphics are good i'm good.
still want switch 2.
The phrase "it's perfect for the Switch" gets thrown around so easily but this time feels more appropriate than ever. Nintendo fans love a mascot platformer, there's no way this doesn't sell well.
Not something I'm excited about personally but I can see myself giving it a shot down the line (with an appealing discount).
More awesome third party support! I'm not sure if I'm going to pick this up on PC or Switch though. If I can get 60fps on my laptop, then PC it is. Otherwise, I'll probably go for the Switch version.
Came back to commenting NintendoLife (it's been a busy month, y'all) just for this Direct.
One of the highlights of this Direct to me, the other being Smash. Said it before, will say it again: all the Nintendo purists in here (I'm a Nintendo fan first and foremost, but far from a purist) will finally see what the fuzz was all about back in the PS1 era.
As I've aptly described Crash before: "it's point-A-to-point-B 3D platforming, but AMAZING point A-to-point B 3D platforming."
Linearity at its finest (and, during the occasional backtracking bits, worst, but those moments are few and far between). You heard it here first folks, now support the game and we'll also get graced with the inevitable Spyro remastered trilogy.
Definitively getting this one! I remember playing the first Crash on my cousins' PS1, so this a great chance to play the trilogy - and portable, no less! It was expected due to all the rumors, but it is still great news.
I feel like this gives Crash false hope that he might one day join Smash Bros. 😁😁 Cruel
Portable Crash, especially with the improved PS4 versions, make it very tempting to double dip.
Just found there was Wii game of Crash. Crash of the Titans. Never heard of it. Is it worth it to pick it up used? 🤔🤔
Fun. I wonder how well the first one, in particular, holds up after all these years.
SO happy I have not got a switch yet but man I want one so bad, I feel like E3 came early
I didn't expect this so soon. I have these on PS4 and have no desire to play them portably so I'll stick with that version.
All in glorious 30fps 😏
Fantastic, day one buy for me. I'm traveling a lot so having my triple A games with me at all time is a treat for sure.
Sweet. No Switch here, but coming to PC as well (and Xb1) July 10 along with the Switch version!
@Agramonte It'll be the same price as PS4, so that's good.
@dumedum I've played almost every Crash game, and I consider Crash of the Titans to be the worst one I've played.
@Deleted84 It was 30fps on PS4, so that's probably what it'll be on Switch, Don't know about the resolution, yet.
The Nintendo Switch just cannot be denied.
Still wondering why Sony was okay with this though.
@BloodyMurder
Sony have no say. Universal owned the rights to Crash in the 90s and sold them to Activision in the early 00s.
@Axlroselm
"These ports only make happy those ppl who only have switch."
Nope.
Very cool, will definitely dubble dip.
@dumedum Not really. It's a mediocre beat em up with low-grade humor. Not much of a Crash game.
Not for me!
@ShadJV I also agree Sonic Racing Transformed was brilliant and beat Mario Kart in single player mode. Mario Kart is crying out for a proper career mode, I loved the mission modes in Mario Kart DS, I wish they'd bring something like that back.
This is probably going to be $50-$60 because of it's on the cartridge. If that is the case then can it be cheaper if we get it digitally?
@BloodyMurder
Could you explain the first sentence of the message attributed to you?
NICE!!!! I remember spending a lot of time with Crash and Spyro games over at my friend's house since he had a PS1, I had N64. Looking forward to playing Crash on a Nintendo system.
@nmanifold pretty much, and co-op was icing on the cake, me and my friend poured dozens of hours into that campaign!
@Mario500
The amazing Switch sales of course.
Everyone will be glad to get the Crash Bandicoot on Nintendo as its a cool and classic game.
The Crash N is also available to buy online:

@BloodyMurder
Could you also explain you had meant by the word used between the words "Switch" and "just" in that message?
@AndroidNougat
And he's wearing pink underpants!
It's £35/€40 on Xbox's store.
Good news!
Oww yes, back to our youth memories with these classics!
