Ah, good ol' LinkedIn - the business-focused networking site that constantly wants you to congratulate someone on a new job while consistently revealing new games that should still be a secret. Today's potential victim comes from Bandai Namco, where the profile of lead designer Shawn Pitman at the publisher's Singapore Studios reveals he's working on a Switch-exclusive new FPS. His profile currently still states the following:

Projects – Unannounced IP (First Person Shooter/Adventure Exclusive to the Nintendo Switch)

Bandai Namco is believed to be working on Metroid Prime 4, and while this has yet to be officially confirmed there's a chance this reference could mean the studio is indeed working on the return of Samus, or that the publisher is dipping its toes into a genre its had very little experience in previously (bar the psychological thriller Get Even, pictured above) with a brand new IP. Regardless of what the true nature of this IP is, it's clear it wants to go all in with its focus on Nintendo Switch. Bandai Namco is also working on Dark Souls: Remastered, due to arrive on Nintendo Switch on 25 May, 2018.

Could 2018 be the year of the shooter? If the COD rumours and this one turn out to be true, we could be getting a lot more FPS antics in the months to come...
