Developer D-Pad Studio has confirmed upcoming platformer Owlboy is getting a physical retail release - only it's arriving two months after its eShop release next week. The much anticipated indie hit is due to arrive on the Switch eShop on 13th Feb, but it won't hit retail shelves until 29th May. So if you're a physical edition collector, then you're going to need to pop this one in your diary.

You can check out the latest trailer above to see some more footage from this indie darling. It debuted on PC in November 2016 to critical acclaim so console gamers have been waiting long enough to flap their digital wings. The retail version also marks the first physical release for publisher Soedesco, although it has hinted at more boxed titles in the future. Owlboy hits eShops in North America and Europe next week.
