Despite being given a new weapon already this week, Splatoon 2 fans will soon be able to get their hands on yet another new offering: the L-3 Nozzlenose D.
Returning from the original Splatoon, the L-3 Nozzlenose D comes bundled with the Burst Bomb as its sub weapon, and the Inkjet as its special; previously the special included with this weapon was the Kraken so it will be interesting to see how players might adapt this time around.
As always, the update will likely roll out at 6pm Pacific / 9pm Eastern today (5th January), which means the early hours of the morning (2am UK / 3am CET) in Europe.

Nah, I still prefer my regular shooters like the Splattershot
I loved this variant back in Splatoon. The burst bomb really rounds out this weapon. I'll drop DB:X2 and BOTW this weekend to use this for a little bit.
Oddly enough, with all the different weapons on offer in this game the Splattershot Jr is the one I use the most. Either way, this game doesn't get nearly enough credit! It's amazing!
@leo13 The splattershot Jr is one of the best weapons in the game.. Good spread, ink consumption, sub weapon, and special.
It maybe loses in range to other weapons but the splat bomb helps with that. It really is a good all around weapon.
Started day1 of release and never quite stopped - this game is just way too good (will soon clock in on 500 hours). Sadly it stops me from enjoying so many other great games, but then again there's barely anything on offer that tops this piece of art in quality and FRESHNESS.
I mostly play regular splattershot, inkbrella and rapid blaster. Brella is so mean in tower mode, where you can just push those precious few extra points because you stay alive a few seconds longer...
As for the new weapon: I cant handle the nozzlenoses at all. ^^
Gotta agree with the praise for the Splattershot Jr. Just a solid, reliable weapon.
I haven’t played Splatoon in months. Maybe it’s time to jump back in. I need something to hold me over til Monster Hunter World comes out.

@Kalmaro I actually prefer the Custom Splattershot Jr. The Ink Storm helps me ink the most turf almost every time.
@abbyhitter That's what I like about this game, so many options! I'm mining the E-Liter at the moment.
I'm not into Nozzlenoses. I can be heavy-handed on the trigger, so I can throw off my own aim. And all the shots from the burst need to hit for maximum damage. Salmon Run got me better with them, but I'd rather not take one into a regular mode.
Yeah i love the weapon just can't seem to kill with it no matter what i try. Always been a cool concept though. I'll go in the danger room soon and see if it changes my opinion.
