Nintendo Power's Second Episode Is Here And Nintendo Labo Takes Centre Stage

Will not be watching. I can't stand Nintendo Minute and the 2 presenters. They're so fake and a bit clueless at times, especially her. Sorry!

Although I was a huge fan of Nintendo Power back in the 80s, this podcast is not appeal to me whatsoever. In my opinion if they are going to revive Nintendo Power, they need to take a completely different approach.

I remember Nintendo Power from the late 80s - early 90s. Although I always preferred the (Future Publishing) Total - 100% for Nintendo Players magazine

I don’t mind the hosts. But, why did it take this long for a second episode? They really need to get Jose from IGN to jump on this podcast. Also, it would’ve been nice to have some more discussion on triple A Switch games.

Why does the Irishman feel the need to let us know of his dislike of the Nintendo minute presenters every time they're mentioned in an article? Seems like an unhealthy obsession to me

Don't know about you guys, but I am a massive fan of the folks from the Treehouse and, by extension, this podcast. It's great to see Nintendo people be so genuine in discussion. I'm enjoying this a lot!

Was last weeks episode everything "we" wanted? I was happy to see Damon Baker get some of the spotlight - with all the indies the Switch scored, he needs more recognition. Aonuma was great as a guest in the second half too...but the energy throughout was very dull, very sleepy. With a name like Nintendo Power, there should be much higher energy, quicker (but not frantic 90s extreme) paced, like a Bob Mackey (from Retronauts), level of energy. Cool to have the old editor in chief hosting, but he was honestly very dull to listen to, and didn't control the pace well. Here's hoping number 2 is better! Maybe he just needed a little practice.

Not bad. I mean it's all a bit "fluffy", but Nintendo Power always was. Don't get the hate for Krysta, though. I always thought the Nintendo Minute problem was so little chemistry between the two. She is much more natural in this.

I never did listen to the first one, but this was paced well. Probably many people aren't accustomed to the podcast format, but on a commute and hour long podcast (or even two) is great and this one moves along well. My problem is that they probably won't go too deep on anything or disagree too much. The best parts are when they talk a bit about being on the inside.

Also, that headline needs to change. Labo is not center stage in this podcast at all. They did actually have hands-on experience and the do discuss the instructional part of the software a bit more than seen elsewhere, but it's pretty brief.

Man, it's official: Krysta Yang is the problem on Nintendo Minute, and this month, the Nintendo Power Podcast.
All she has is contrived, filler commentary and a forced attempt at humor... But no substantial contribution whatsoever.
Why is she present on the podcast, not to mention the YouTube series?
I couldn't even finish the latest episode of the NP podcast... The cringe was too much.

I really enjoy these, and I don't really listen to podcasts. I just chilled out for a few hours and listened to both pods while playing Splatoon 2. Can't wait for more of these. As for the hate of Krysta I would partially agree. Never been a fan of her but I think one of the reasons is because of the writing of Nintendo Minute itself. Still enjoyed this fine though!

C'mon. You can surely see that.

@NImH Not quite the same, but I hear you. If you are going to be reserved about disagreements and keep negative comments about Nintendo to yourself, you aren't getting the full opinion or potential of the conversation. You might call that fake, but I find fake too general a description that people pour their own meaning into. Some people might think that's lying, for instance, but you can , of course, keep thoughts to yourself without lying.
