Did the escapist 2 just come out?

Is that it?? Just 4 games? That's crazy after the past several months we've had.

@antdickens Oh I misread, it's out on the 11th. My baby brother really wants that game, I figured he'd have said something if it was out already.

@FragRed The first week of the new year, it's to be expected. There's some midweek downloads too not included here. Fingers crossed next week brings us a Direct.

YESSS! I've been waiting for The Escapists 2 since the first Switch Nindies Showcase...and after all these months it's finally (almost) here!

For a 1st party title Flip Wars should be bigger and better than it is. When I first saw it I thought it could addictive like Bomberman and great to play online but its release was staggered across regions and had content missing at launch. Unsurprisingly it never took off.

Bought Superbeat Xonic physical this week so tapped out on money. Luckily nothing of interest for me, but Escapist 2 next week looks interesting.

Question. What does the enhanced edition include for NBA? The description on the store says nothing, except that I can play it on my PC? Yeah...

The Escapists 2 for me ! That's a really good 2-player co-op split-screen game !

Shadows of Valentia is very tempting, but I have been playing a hell of a lot of Fire Emblem recently so am a bit worried about getting burnt out on it before the Switch edition. Playing FEWarriors and have yet to do Revelations...

Great to see discounts on Nintendo's own games. I bought ARMS and Super Beat Sports.

Fingers crossed that the delay for Escapists 2 means its a quality port. Been looking forward to it since the initial indies direct.

@Dazza There's mistakes in this Press Release I think. I don't know what way Nintendo have been sending them out recently but they've been causing issues for various sites. I post them out myself elsewhere and it causes a little bit of a headache.

Like at the end, where it reads "Other", why is the Super Mario Galaxy discount listed again? It should be...

@alasdair91 yes, its the updated version. its smaller and supports dlc now. and its free if you already own the other version

Again this site isn't watching the mynintendo site. New offers went live a couple of days ago, including discounts on the original GBC Shantae running on 3DS VC. Not a lot new, but new all the same.

Does anyone know if Flip Wars have a single player? (like Dexterity on Gameboy preferably)

No word on what happened to the release of the original Arcade Double Dragon? I’ve been awaiting eagerly since it was delayed last week and haven’t seen anything other than the Hamster post that it will be out in 2018. Was hoping it would be out today.

Tried to redeem the My Nintendo discount for Tank Trooper only to find out that you can't combine the offers. I'm sure there was a fine print warning me about it, but... come on! It was a trap (and a waste of platinum points) easy to fall for ^^;

@OorWullie Yeah. I got it for Christmas with an eShop card from a friend. Can’t play it alone and the online was dead the few times I checked. Shame.

@BakaKnight That happened with me on Art Academy’s upgrade. I’ll stick with the sketch version now for sure since Miiverse is dead. I feel lots of Wii U games need a huge price drop now.

Is NBA Playgrounds worth it? I did enjoy the original NBA Jam for the SNES, but that’s about my entire history with basketball.

This weeks releases sure do stink worse than a NintendoLife clickbait article. Thankfully most of good stuff was releases on Xmas. No excuses either if you are playing Xenoblade 2 or ACA Neo Geo those past 3 weeks(thankfully I paid for those games, didn't steal them on illegal Emulator).

@OorWullie That’s weird, they usually include the midweek downloads in the Thursday articles as well, in case anyone misses the now-regular “out today!!!” midweek articles. I don’t remember the site doing any of those this week either.

@gaga64 Yeah, there are 3 games coming next week. Never Stop Sneakin, Knights & Castles and Black. I'm not sure if there were any new midweek releases this past week though?

What's happening with Double Dragon? I'm a little annoyed 'cause I read a story on this site saying it was out, bought an eshop card, and it's nowhere to be seen Or did I misread it and it's US only? That money could have stayed in my bank account rather than Nintendo's

@OorWullie Oh right okay. Usually with the European Downloads they list the midweek ones in the Thursday after they come out, so those will be in next weeks Update. I guess none this week then.

Personally, I would rather have King of the Monsters than Art of Fighting 2.

Anyone know if WWE 2K18 got patch yet and if so how does it run now? One of my folks wanted to get the game but had second thoughts that the game may still be broken.

@XenoShaun I didn’t. Maybe I need to look again, but it wasn’t a great experience when I tried it.

@VR32F1END That's a real shame. Game sounds decent on paper. I rarely have others to play with so really isn't for me especially if there is no single player options at all.
