Shovel Knight fans rejoice! Today's Nindie Summer Showcase revealed a brand new adventure for the critically acclaimed 2D side-scroller.
Shovel Knight: King of Cards is the final chapter in the Treasure Trove saga and brings 30 all new courses for players to enjoy. In this prequel adventure, players traverse four new worlds and discover how King Knight ascended the throne and learned to master his unique bash attack. Not to mention a plethora of new weapons, armours, and abilities along the way.
A new card game mechanic will also be included, to sharpen your strategies against future subjects off the battlefield.
This brand new adventure launches in early 2018 on Nintendo Switch. Is it on your wishlist?

Yes! The final shovelknight adventure! Been waiting on this awhile. Played through Shovel Knight 4 times, Plague of Shadows 3 times, and Spectre if Torment 3 times. My Switch is ready.
I feel this will be another great expansion that is has a lot more care and attention (like Spectre of Torment)
I do hope this goes to Wiiu...merely because I don't want to double dip...but I will if I must.

The second I can update my Shovel knight Treasure Trove game, I will be playing it directly!! Shovel knight one of my idols.
This game truly is the gift that keeps on giving. I have the ps4 version seriously considering getting the switch version as well. Such a great game!!
Nice! I'm hoping this new campaign will warm me up to Shovel Knight again.
As great of a campaign Specter of Torment was, it didn't really wow me as much as Shovel of Hope and Plague of Shadows.
Also coming to the supposedly dead Wii U. In 2018. What sorcery is this?

I've 100% Shovel recently. I'll wait to 100% Specter too before I launch this final episode (I'll skip on Plague, I suck at this one, the gameplay puts me off somehow)
These guys are just awesome.
If they put this much love and passion into all their future games then I think they are set to become one of the most beloved developers out there.
@Tibob Give Plague a chance! I didn't like it at first too. But in the end I fell in love!
@Tibob I went through it (loved the ending btw) and I'll try and beat the challenges. But I don't think I'll try and get all achievements, that's too much for me with this jumpy bomber.
Finally. But dang, I still gotta beat Spectre Knight's adventure. Glad I'm finally about to beat Fire Emblem Echoes-- Think I'll make that my next game to beat.
