Back in April The Jackbox Party Pack 3 was released on the Nintendo Switch, bringing its unique blend of minigames and phone-based controls to multiplayer on the system. We certainly recommended it as a good way to have a bit of fun with friends.
Though Jackbox Games is currently working on the fourth entry, it has confirmed that the first two packs are coming to the Nintendo Switch, unsurprisingly called The Jackbox Party Pack and The Jackbox Party Pack 2.
It'll be interesting to see if they're released together, and if there's any kind of bundle or discount option. We'll find out in good time.
Are you tempted to pick these up on Switch later in the year?

Huh. Are they fun? Never played any of them.
A retail release with all 3 games would be awesome....hey I'm first!! Lol
Whoops make that 2nd by 30 seconds ha ha
@joey302 No you're not.
I want physical!
@Kayfios yea..guess I gotta be a bit faster...lol
I own all these (+Drawful 2) on PS4. That said it would be tempting to buy Packs 2 and 3 (not 1), as it would be much easier to bring it to various friends places. The 'games' within are fantastic. and whenever I introduce various friends to it, it always ends up making for a great night.
The reason I would skip over Pack 1 however is that I feel YDKJ and Drawful are the only worthwhile games on it; in the case of Drawful, I'd prefer to buy a re-release of Drawful 2 instead, and YDKJ isn't worth it on its own (and the other games on Packs 2 and 3 are superior party games anyway).
Niiiiice!
Party Pack 3 has served me and my group of friends very well, and was well worth the price. We've already put in 30+ hours into it and is a staple at hangouts and parties. A lot of dirty humor and personal jabs during a game like quiplash make the game worth every penny in my eyes.
That being said, I probably won't pick up these games, but I am looking forward to Party Pack 4 whenever that releases
I like the concept of these games, but in most circumstances Board games are superior for me in these instances.
Depending on the group, Activity, Taboo, Cards against humanity or Resistance will keep everyone engaged.
Yes! I'm super psyched about this. I've played older Jackbox games with friends on other consoles and I've wanted them for myself, too.
It depends on what the games are like, JackBox is at its best when you input your own answers
I am really excited for these. I love Volume 3 and it has been a blast with other people. The first one has the 2015 update of You Don't Know Jack, which is close to being my favorite from the games. I'll be picking up both of these, too!
All of these are great fun for friends and teen+adult family gatherings. I'll need to pick these up and retire my xbox one collection of them.
I am sad and lonely, and Pack 3 was a bit depressing.
I LOVE YDKJ.. Have done since the first PC edition, but playing (or rather trying to play) Jackbox 3 alone was an incredibly lonely experience.
(I wrote about my lonely experience, here. http://socoder.net/?GotoPost=58600 )
Pack 1 includes a full Jack, so I might pick that up.
Switch is a nice device to have these on, if you ever manage to get out of the house, and interact with other people.
Highly recommended, if you have anyone to play them with.
I'll go back to wandering around Hyrule, alone, now.
sigh
If you've never heard of these, they are tons of fun for a group of adult friends!
@DarkScythe13 For me personally, I'd say that Quiplash XL and Fibbage 2 are the only worthwhile games on Party Pack 2 (Bidiots is okay every once in a while). And considering that there's already a Quiplash included in Jackbox 3, and there's been no announcement for Drawful 2 on Switch, I'd have to say that Jackbox 1 and 3 is the best pair to get for Nintendo Switch.
@tjhiphop To me the only forgettable game on Pack 2 is that Bomb Corps game. Earwax can be great silly fun.
In your case you'll probably be happy getting Pack 4, as it is confirmed to have Fibbage 3.
I play the crap out of these, just had yet another session on Pack 3 tonight.
Pack 1 has some great games, Fibbage, Drawful and the You Don't Know Jack Quiz are great. Word Spud can be fun, Lie Swatter often breaks.
In Pack 2 Earwax gets old fast, not enough sounds or prompts and often times the sounds it gives you for prompts just don't work. Bomb Corps went on once and never again, Bidiots can be good. Quiplash is amazing and so is Fibbage 2.
Pack 3, Trivia Murder is fun, Fakin It is awesome, great tool for learning about new mates. Guesspionage is boring and the facts and trivia are all obscure Murican crap. Tee K.O is awful, just outright awful.
But Quiplash 2, with its ability to make your own prompts. Is the sickest, most racist, most hilarious game ever. I often have party nights where all PC MUST go out the window, the only rule to join the party is don't take offence. We take personal shots at ourselves, our mates, our races, our dissabilities, religion, everything, with the aim to get laughs.
Often times someone calls that we've gone too far but no one ever leaves as they can't wait to see what we say next.
Cleanest one I can post from tonights session.
What is the cost of freedom?
2 Sky Scrapers.
It got a quiplash and our Murican mate who actually witnessed them fall down when he was 6, called us sick, but he voted for it (we all did, hence it got a quiplash) whilst laughing his butt off.
Looks super fun!
@OrigamiSquirtle So much fun, if you're in the habit of hosting three or more drunk friends at your place after the pub, and assuming they have smartphones. If yes, there's no better feeling.
I'll consider it if they release a retail version with all three games on the one cart. AU$30+ apiece per game (for a digital only release) is just much too high otherwise. Not to mention the fact that free space isn't exactly cheap either.
@8itmap_k1d
haha im 14
I'm game. I play this over the internet with friends on Google Hangouts.
Of course they would announce this shortly after I bought all 3 games on Steam ....
Quiplash has now become a staple in our office, it's absolutely great to play with a group of 6-8 people.
@WaxxyOne I did the same thing, even going as far as to buy a laptop so I can easily take it to friends houses for game night. While I love my Switch, I think that having it on PC is an equally good platform. The laptop doesn't need a TV, but can use one, just like the Switch, so to each their own.
2 is worth it for Earwax alone, but with Fibbage and Quiplash, Jackbox Party Pack 2 is my favourite.
@OrigamiSquirtle my family loves them i have been draggin my ps4 around for the 1st one cause thats my familys favorite although 3 on the switch was used on vation with my wife and her family and we had a blast and it was much easier to tote around.
I remember playing one of these on steam with a friend, so these are tempting to purchase, I kind hope they will bundle these together.
I'm interested in the first one. Just because I haven't played you don't know Jack in a loooong time.
I did get the 3rd pack. These games are always a blast during parties. Was annoying to have to switch out to the Xbox to play games only available in 1 & 2. Definitely will pick up the first two packs for Switch when they come out, and hopefully Party Pack 4 will release on Switch at the same time as the other consoles.
It's kinda cool to see that everyone has different experiences with each of these games. Tee KO is usually the one that gets the most fun out of my family/friend gatherings (mainly because my sister's a graphic designer for a living) The only real dud for us out of Pack 3 seems to be Trivia Murder Party (which I happen to enjoy myself) since the dark sense of humor doesn't seem to get over too well.
