Yesterday, we reported on Implosion: Never Lose Hope, a futuristic hack and slash mobile title that’s seeing a release on the Switch in just a few days. Details were a bit scarce at the time, but the publisher recently got in touch with us with more details around what we can expect from the title and when.
For starters, Implosion is getting a worldwide release on 6th July, and will ship with support for English, Chinese and Japanese languages, with support for Japanese voice acting as well. It’ll run you 11.99USD/11.99EUR/1200JPY depending on the region and will have support for both the standard Joy-Con and Pro Controller. We’ll be sure to have a review out soon with our thoughts.
What do you think? Will you be picking this up? Did you play it already on mobile? Drop us a comment in the section below.

I'm just not convinced that this has the legs tbh.. I'll sit back until I see reviews..
I need to see actual gameplay to make a statement like "I want to play this!" or "maybe I'll get it for review" or "I think... I'll pass".
Just saying.
No mention of whether it includes the co op mode from Android tablets?
2 days from now? wow thats short notice. count me in.
I'm interested, but will need a good review to understand whether or not I'd like it.
Nice non-specific cinematic though.
@Chanchozoka Youtube
Just saying
That said after I found footage on Youtube, it's a hard pass. Looks shocking, typical iOS crap
Niiice, I'm just glad it's releasing in NA too. Physical controls is all this game needed to hold my interest.
I mean, that's a helluva trailer, but the typo "Humanities Last Stand" (as opposed to "Humanity's Last Stand") kinda sets me off.
Read a few reviews of the mobile versions... seems alright. All that stands now is to see if it runs well on the Switch.
Once again no game play in the advert, so not interested
@Niinbendo i agree.. i had quick look on YT and all i could see were very clunky looking IOS videos.. yes these may have high reviews, but the proof is in the eating right?
@Fuz I can never understand a pre-rendered only trailer.. game footage is always needed
Played it on mobile a few hours ago. Can see the port working well. 11.99 tho? Maybe wait for a discount
For those who asked for a gameplay video...
@ThanosReXXX thanks mate.
@GrailUK You're welcome.
Sortof intrested. As it reminds me a bit of Diablo but I feal it culd do with someforme of Co op (as the eshop clames it to only be 1p)
@ThanosReXXX honestly anyone too lazy to go to Youtube doesn't deserve your services, lol
@PAHTK Well, I don't mind, and since I looked up a video to satisfy my own curiosity anyway, I thought that I might just as well post it for other curious people. Sharing is caring, so I'm spreading the knowledge, even when it is for something as simple as a gameplay video...
@Chanchozoka
Completely agree, so tired of FMV's to show off games. Show us actual gameplay footage. Like Dragon Quest XI, yeah they have shown actual footage, but no actual footage of a battle, which is what matters most in a RPG.

And after looking at the exclusive gameplay of Implosion on the Switch, I have to say it's a definite buy. The Taiwanese team at Rayark Games have done an amazing job of porting the mobile title onto the Nintendo Switch without breaking a sweat. I have to give some props to Japanese publisher Skyhigh Works for making the impossible possible.
For those of you who own a Nintendo Switch and a Micro SD XC memory card, I strongly suggest you to buy Implosion: Never Give Up Hope for less than $12 / 12 Euro / 1,200 JPY.
EDIT: Country correction. My apologies, folks...
This is an excellent hack and slash title I've played a few levels on my android and personaly I loved it . I will definitely be picking this up as soon as it's available on my Switch , a perfect title for the Switch e-shop . I would not be surprised to see a 9 out of 10 score on this title or at least an 8 .
Just bought it for my Switch and I love it.
Mindless hack and slash heaven. The first chapter is pretty easy, but the further you progress the harder the game gets. I’m looking forward to reaching maximum level for both Jake and Diana along with getting some super powers for Johnathan. I’m only about 33% complete with badges, but I’m looking forward to trying to get all those as well in order to unlock the cool stuff. Time to beat was around 8 hours, but to unlock everything and reach max level will most likely be around 20 to 25 hours. Some of the badges are really hard. Example: Take zero damage for whole level. This is a great buy.
@spoony_tech I am so tempted to get Implosion and have enough in my Eshop account to get it, but ive been hoarding my money expecting Gear.Club to sneak up on us and be released any day now. Ive been doing online surveys to make extra money for Eshop funds and have been making about 36 dollars a month which transfers right into my paypal where I can buy Eshop credit from. Its been working out quite well so far. I really want Gear.Club on day 1 though
ADD: I have worked on my first RPG for about 50 hours for RPGMaker. But im considering blowing the whole thing up and starting over since the DLC packs finally came out which I downloaded. I have really got into RPGmaker I didnt think it was much fun at the beginning but as I got better with the program im having more and more fun with it. Definately the best game making software ive ever used.
@landlord14 ive been so tempted to get this. You seem pretty excited about it so i think i will pull the trigger and buy it. The videos ive been watching look great. Thanks for the post hopefully we will get Gear.Club in about a month or so. I was hoarding credits for that but must play Implosion lol
