We're sure you all recall the discovery of the SNES PlayStation - who could forget that earth-shattering event, right? However, in the months that have past the system has faded into memory, so it's a good job we have Ben Heck to remind us of its existence.

The hacking genius has been working tirelessly to get the console in full working order. We already know that the cartridge slot is functional, but the CD-ROM drive has remained off-limits - until now.

The video above shows the fascinating process Heck used to test the hardware, figure out what the chips do and finally get the machine to accept software - quite a feat when you consider that no games exist for the console (none that we know of, anyway) and the games which do exist have been developed using emulators and have never been tested on the original hardware.
