Sometimes localisation to Europe can drag out a little longer than we'd like, but Harvest Moon: Skytree Village has almost arrived. Released by Natsume in North America in 2016, this '20th Anniversary' entry in the series was picked up by Rising Star Games for the EU and has evidently almost crossed the line.
Now given a firm release date of 1st June ('early June' was cited for quite a while), Nintendo has shared a trailer to celebrate its upcoming arrival on 3DS in the region.
Our team didn't get around to this one for review last November when it arrived in North America, though we were encouraged by an earlier hands on session with the game.
Are many of you European 3DS owners tempted to give this a try?

Well...
I think Portal Knights is the Rival of this Harvest Moon.
This only reminded me that I need a release date for Stardew Valley on Switch. I think that one has the potential to rival Breath of the Wild's 175 hours in my most played games list.
Why did they make it all Minecrafty?
What anti matter said. In a game about harmony and peace the world design must be nice and this one is terrible. Im still hoping for a good harvest moon.
I hope the (possible) switch games will look more like animal parade or magical melody.
Oh Natsume, Natsume... well, still waiting for European release of Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns.
So... Harvest Moon is Minecraft advanced?
@ricklongo That's how I feel exactly. Stardew Valley ruined this series for me, in the best way possible. I played a ton of all Harvest Moons up to and including Harvest Moon: A New Beginning. I played only around 20-30 hours of Story of Seasons. It was fun, but it was starting to lose some of its appeal. Then Stardew Valley came, and I played the everloving crap out of that. My wife loved the game too, so we're definitely looking forward to co-op. I bought my wife the new Story of Seasons, and she played it quite a bit, but my interest in that series is completely gone now. I don't really know why, but I don't want to play Harvest Moon / Story of Seasons - I just want Stardew Valley on my Switch.
@Jhena Despite me just saying they have lost their appeal to me somewhat since Stardew Valley, you should check out the Story of Seasons games. They were very similar in style to Harvest Moon: A New Beginning, so if that's the type of game you're looking for, they should be great for you.
@Jhena
I love to see Harvest Moon on Switch.
Better Natsume emphasis on Character's gesture and expressions to show a dialogue like on Tree of Tranquility or Animal Parade. Zoom the facial expressions so we can capture their emotion. No more Story of Seasons character profiles dialogues or This Harvest Moon conversation style (Characters shown with face to face behind darker filter and I can't capture their emotions in right angle).
If they insist to use Minecraft style again, polish them until as same level as Portal Knights. Oh... my.... I can design my own house as my desire.
@roadrunner343
What if Harvest Moon + Cuteness of Animal Crossing style + Portal Knights + My Sims ?
@roadrunner343 Thanks for the recommendations. Story of seasons looks really better but sadly i cant play 3ds anymore. Heres hoping for a switch release.
I only hear good things about stardew valley. Gotta try that one too.
But what id really love to play is a new rune factory.^^
So this is the crappy new HM right? Not the good one from the original devs? That's Story of Seasons?
@CB85
Yup.
Natsume ruined the "Harvest Moon" image.
Not even as good as Portal Knights for the Minecraft style.
I think Stardew Valley is the farming sim king. I may eventually get SoS: Trio of Towns (so i have a farming sim for my 3ds), but I'm not in a big hurry. Not a fan of Minecraft, so I don't have much interest in Skytree Village.
Ah... well.
Going to play Back to Nature now.
rip
Already have it here in USA
@ricklongo it will! I think as a portable version it'll be very addictive!
I saw the (actually kinda nice looking) Special edition, and had been wondering if it was an actual Harvest Moon, or one of the Harvest Moon in Name Only games. Judging by the comments, the latter.
Ah well, let's just hope Stardew Valley arrives soon. It may have been slow to begin with, but the Switch eShop does seems to be slowly picking up pace, with new releases on both Tuesday and Thursday, sometimes even Friday with big releases. And it feels like there is little warning about the releases, just suddenly "And oh, this comes out next week, ok?"
@Elanczewski same here
