From 27th April to the 30th April, Japanese Nintendo fans will have access to an eShop sale for many Kirby classics, with many games available at 25% off. As of right now, this sale is only confirmed for the Japanese eShop, but Nintendo of Europe and America often announce promotions like these as they go live. Hopefully we'll see Nintendo offer a similar celebratory sale for Kirby fans in the West.
Here's what's available in this massive Kirby 25th Anniversary Japanese eShop sale; we've used the Japanese titles but the links go to the game pages with familiar Western names:
Wii U
- Hoshi no Kirby - ¥385
- Hoshi no Kirby 3 - ¥617
- Hoshi no Kirby Super Deluxe - ¥617
- Hoshi no Kirby 64 - ¥771
- Kirby & the Amazing Mirror - ¥526
- Kirby: Squeak Squad - ¥712
- Hoshi no Kirby Wii - ¥2,025
3DS

- Hoshi no Kirby 2 - ¥308
- 3D Classics: Kirby's Adventure - ¥462

Are you hoping to see a similar sale in the West next week?

I would be excited about this, but i already own all of these Games ^^"
Yes. I need some Kirby.
Only for 4 days. In japan. On a dead console. And a potentially winding down handheld...
No, I'm hoping to see a similar sale in the west NOW!
I´m sure 25% off will make those kirby games fly off the digital shelves.
Thanks Nintendo.
Signed, the rest of the world.
Makes no difference to me I own them all already lol
The real news here is Game Boy games on Wii U.
I am hoping Kirby Planet Robobot will have a sale in NA, me and my friend will buy that in the quickness.
NOA tend to leave out the newer game at times and have the 2+ year old one that almost everyone played or own.
Your links are a bit weird. Are you sure Hoshi no Kirby on the Wii U Virtual Console is the original GameBoy game? And Hoshi no Kirby Wii is Kirby's Dream Collection? Seems counterproductive to have a sale for a collection of all the VC games that are on sale, no?
@Salnax Who says Wii U Virtual Console is dead?
Ah that's why Kirby badges on the badge catcher thingy
Please come to the west. I'm sure the discounts will be near useless because most retail and pawn stores will be selling these games a lot of cheaper but... Please come to the west.
I do have ¥500 on my eshop account. Very nice.
FFS, just bring the virtual console to the Switch already!!!
@Nagi_Nagisa Same...
Even if they do come to NA, won't get any.
Still p'ed off that the 20th anniversary collection was never released in Australia/Europe.
@Kayfios not really. There will be people who only want one or two games from the collection or already have all the others. They would most likely rather just pick up the ones they want and wouldn't buy the entire collection again. So it makes sense to give them the option to pick and choose. Whilst for those who have none the collection is a good deal.
You see it all the time on PSN store sales with things like indie collections and then each game sold sepearetly. Or the Telltale games often have the season pass and each individual episode go on sale at the same time.
@Ogbert It was a joke. The listing for "Hoshi no Kirby Wii" links to the Dream Collection, but really, it's Kirby's Return to Dreamland.
@Kayfios Oh I didn't double check NL's links. But either way, selling a discounted collections of the games you are selling discounted individually is fairly common and logical practice : )
@Ogbert Logical practice isn't something that Nintendo follows often. It would genuinely surprise me if they sold the collection on the eShop at all, let alone have it on sale.
Thanks for crediting my humble little blog again. Nintendo Life does what Nintendo Everything don't!
Thousands of people are demanding that Reggie slither back into his slimy lair and let amazing, joyful games like these reach true Nintendo fans.
