Tomorrow, European and North American gamers will finally get to see what all the fuss is about regarding the Nintendo Switch, but Japanese gamers will be breaking open their consoles hours earlier due to the fact that Japan Standard Time is ahead of both European time and EST.

Japan-based writer Jon Cousins has been documenting Japan's preparations for the launch via Twitter, and his images show the flurry of activity taking place in retail outlets as they furiously swap around display units to make way for Switch games and accessories (look at all those screen protectors).

We haven't got long to wait now, but it's not hard to feel a pang of jealousy when you consider that in Nintendo's homeland, Switch launch day is closer than ever.
