Over a number of months Nintendo has been teamed up with ESL in a search for the best Splatoon team in Europe, a contest designed to boost the eSports credentials and popularity of the IP. There have been monthly events and contests at expos, and now we're gearing up for the grand final in Paris in which four teams will battle it out.
As you can see in the graphic below this is taking place at 1pm UK / 2pm CEST on 1st April, which is 5am Pacific / 8am Eastern. The winning team members will each receive a Switch as part of their prize.
There'll also be a "special exhibition match showcasing some of the new competitive tactics and techniques" in Splatoon 2.
It's going to be broadcast live on Twitch, and we'll be hosting a live blog / chat here on Nintendo Life.

Played with/against them a couple times and they are pretty tough.
Since it's on a Saturday, I'll definitely tune in!
