It's been quite a day, with the Nintendo Treehouse live stream running for a number of hours and showing off plenty of games. If you want more, though, there is extra footage to enjoy.
Nintendo is streaming (in Japanese) from the fan event currently taking place in Tokyo, and you can watch it all unfold below. Yes, it'll be in Japanese, but games are a universal language. It starts are 10:30am Tokyo time, which is 5:30pm Pacific / 8:30pm Eastern / 1:30am UK / 2:30am CET
Enjoy!

Cool. Thanks for the link. Hopefully there's a surprise or two.
Any new games or gameplay so far?
Yay...!
Another presentation.
Is there off tv play for BotW Wii U? Anyone know?
Okay, Three straight up Presentations in a row? Well, well.
Hm...
So far still music performance.
Games , please...
Watching this just remind me how Japan has such an unique and interesting culture. =)
P.S: Anyone noticed quite a few people in the audience wearing "health" masks?
Nice music, especially Mario Kart 8.
Wish i lived in Japan, not everyone hates Nintendo lol
Jammin', dudes!
Metroid and F-Zero? Lol
The Mariokart 8 soundtrack is underrated.
This band is awesome
I'm off to bed catch up in morn, night all
Sweet, there's more.
Guys, do you really understand with those Japanese conversations ?
I only understand a little. XD
Oh, the schedule.
Mario kart 8 after 1 hour later.
@RenanKJ It's fairly common throughout SE and East Asia.I was literally just served in my local 7/11 by lady with one on.Not just to protect from colds but they also wear them to protect themselves from pollution when outside.
Oh...Zelda BoTW.
@RenanKJ They're Michael Jackson fans.
MII?!
Mii still exist, guys !
@Anti-Matter: I'm guessing that means there's some unlockables in this game too?
The Battle Mode in MK8 looked like great fun. Next up Super Mario Odyssey. This should be very interesting. I hope they don't just show the same trailer from yesterday.
We've got a small bit of new footage of Super Mario Odyssey footage in the city hub and some screenshots.
I saw New Donk City from Mario Oddysey screenshots. XD
New York City become New Donk City. XD
Donkey Kong reference ? XD
Goombas with Hardhats. Solid.
Wow...!
Look at Mario Oddysey poster.
Mario's hair is SO..... Detailed !
We need a direct feed of the Super Mario Odyssey video running behind the presenters just now.
I've no idea what the next segment coming up is as the writing's all in Japanese. Nevermind, I think it's going to be Snipperclips.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Hmmm, but i have a hunch the style of the logo seem abit familiar... Oh, Maybe it's Snipperclips?
@GrooveManyula Yep, I think so.
LOWER THE PRICE FOR 70 eur!
So I was there. Super packed. My daughter and I got to play Zelda. Loved the feel of the joycons. Favorite way to play was with one in each hand, kind of like wii, but with no wires. The aiming for the bow was done with the right joycon and felt so good. The official pamphlet they gave us had a few facts I haven't seen reported on. This is straight from the Nintendo pamphlet.
-Bluetooth 4.1
-2 USB 2.0 on outside of dock and 1 USB 3.0 on the inside (where HDMI hook-ups are)
-full charge of system takes 3 hours
-joycon battery lasts 30 hours on a charge
-pro controller lasts 50 hours on a charge
-headphone jack supports microphone
That's all I saw that I couldn't find elsewhere.
@munkeyjoe I was there too. Did you get to play ARMS? I had a lot of fun with that. The concert was pretty awesome.
Arms was an odd title which considering you need 4 joy cons to play I'm surprised they ain't bundling arms with the joy cons.
@RenanKJ The mask wearing is common inJapan - It is done by the wearer to protect other people. .
Oh, god...
The bit starting at around 2:00:00 is painful to watch.
That poor girl is tasked with eating a virtual sandwich during the 1-2-Switch demonstration, but the joycon camera sensor thing completely fails to identify her mouth! Twice in a row, even!
@roboshort I didn't get to play anything other than Zelda, as we had to get going early. I hope that they'll be having some demo units around Tokyo before March 3rd.
@munkeyjoe

Aww man you're getting me so hyped!! That's exactly how I want to play too- with one Joycon in each hand. Everyone who's actually tried it is saying that it feels great to play and the controllers work great. Aiming with the right joy con is perfect- see _this[/em] is motion controls done right. Don't force it for every single game and ignore normal controls, but simply integrated into the normal control scheme where it fits.
It sounds like Nintendo has absolutely nailed it- if I don't get my hands on a Switch soon I might just lose my mind lol
