During its Fire Emblem Direct last week Nintendo lifted the lid on Fire Emblem Heroes, its mobile spin on a series that's enjoyed a significant revival on the 3DS. On the one hand it looks rather promising, while on the other the microtransactions and how they tie to building up your group could either be fair or, well, pretty darn awful.

For now, let's hope for the best, but we thought we'd give a little reminder that you can still vote for the game's 'legendary Heroes', and earn 200 Platinum Points for My Nintendo while you're at it; they get distributed after voting closes. The winning characters will appear in the game with special outfits.

It's pretty simple, you have until the end of 31st January (or early hours 1st February in Europe) to pick your favourites right here, and you can vote once per day; there are still quite a few chances, then. The top choices in each gender will go into the game - in terms of the leaders, Nintendo of America posted this earlier in the week, showing Ike and Lynn on top.

It's a neat idea to involve players ahead of the game's release, and with its arrival so close we're curious to see how well this terrific franchise makes its transition to mobile.
