A recent episode of the Japanese show Denjin ☆ Getcha! had a real Nintendo feel to it. Not only did the team - which includes the legendary Takahashi Meijin - get to grips with the new Famicom Mini console, footage of the forthcoming Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was also shown.
Meijin - who used to work at Hudson Soft and was famous during the '80s for his trigger finger speed of 16 shots per second - discusses the Famicom Mini with his co-presenters, running through the included games and also providing commentary on gameplay footage.
Just in case you weren't aware, the Famicom Mini is the Japanese equivalent of the NES Classic Mini, which launches this week.

...wonder if I can still do 16 shoots per second... probably not...
The Famicom Mini is all fine and dandy, but frankly saying "also includes Zelda: Breath Of The Wild footage" is kind of like describing the first Expendables movie saying "oh, by the way, Schwarzenegger is also in there".
You had me at "Breath Of The Wild".
Edit: The Zelda footage starts at 27 minutes though we've seen it all before. I did notice the steel armour set Link is wearing, never seen that before. Not saying it's new but I'm only seeing it now for the first time.
@Shiryu According to Wikipedia, he can do about 12.3 these days.
@AlexSora89 The footage isn't new, from what I can tell.
@Damo ...old age takes us all.
@Damo
Too bad then. Especially considering this game should have been the Wii U's savior. Hopefully the Switch will gain some momentum with an aggressive early cycle.
Forthcoming made me think it was new footage, BOO! Mis-sell!!
@Damo This guy is persistent. @Kakaka How many different user names is this now with the spam? He's moved from Pakistan to the UK.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE @AlexSora89 Headline - "Marco Rubio wins reelection for senate seat in Florida, also somebody won the presidency" I was going to watch the video just so I could post the time of the Zelda footage I cared about more, but if it's old footage, well I have other things to do.
Is he Meijin that also included in MaiMai SEGA ? XD
Meh... I was all excited about the BOTW footage, until I saw it was just the E3 trailer I've watched 927 times before. Haha
Takahashi Meijin was also in the credits of Shock Troopers as the voice(laughter, really) of the final boss. That was an interesting thing to discover.
I like the fact that the guy second from the right is wearing a One Piece T-shirt underneath his lab coat

Also, stereotypical Mexican mice deported on an animated replica of the Titanic, still likely to sink as its real-life counterpart did.
It took Rjejr for me to crack the obligatory Trump joke on the only NL article today that did not address Trump in any way whatsoever.
[EDIT: I meant "It took Rjejr for me to crack the obligatory Trump joke outside of the only NL article today that addressed Trump". I was sleepy when I first wrote the comment.]
@AlexSora89 Mexican mice cartoons were always funny when I was a kid. It's times like this I truly miss my childhood naivety.
I'll try to keep politics out of my future comments, but it may take a few days, months or weeks. Switch reveal is 8 days before the inauguration, so that will be good timing. Not my fault Nintendo has left us Wii U owners out to dry.
Ah, Master Higgins! Long time no see!
That intro is awesome by the way.
@rjejr
I'm the one who has to apologise - I was as sleepy as I could possible get when I wrote that comment, hence me calling this article "the only one not about Trump" when it was merely "not the one that was about Trump". Going to sleep late always takes its toll.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE You can also see it in the E3 video, when that big old rock beast thing stands up.
