Ever since Nintendo unveiled the Switch retailers have been putting up product pages, though in most cases, sensibly, they're placeholders designed to give consumers information and nothing more. Some are trying to secure pre-orders, however, with GAME opting to take orders on a placeholder price of £999.99; sure, why not.

Now GameSeek is joining in; as multiple people have pointed out to us it's listing the system for £198.50 in the UK (with a 'release date' of 17th March), with some keen on the following bit of text on the page.

With our Pre-order Price Guarantee, you can order now and if the GameSeek price increases between the time you place your order and the release date, you'll be charged the lower price.

It's pretty darn bold of them, though of course we have no idea what the order will contain. After all, Nintendo is yet to formally define bundles and SKU details - in other words, we're not sure what's in the box. The generic description on the product page naturally references the console, dock, Joy-Con controllers and the Grip accessory. We're not sure the description qualifies as a definitive outline of what will come with orders, however. Update: It's also worth noting that the money is taken up front, so caution is most definitely required.

In any case, some will no doubt take a punt in the hope they'll get a Switch for under £200. More formal details on launch offerings and purchasing options are expected from Nintendo in January.
