Classic gaming consoles are rightly celebrated by retro fans, and with the 20th Anniversary (for North America) of the Nintendo 64 having passed recently, a group of talented musicians teamed up to produce a meaty collection of remixed tracks - Tribute Album 64 is absolutely packed with music, and it's free.
Brought together by Patient Corgi, over 200 musicians have teamed up on 87 tracks; it's a hugely impressive collaboration. We've embedded it below, but it can be downloaded in full at no cost on the album's Bandcamp page.

They're different but good. I wish there was some Metroid tracks but it's understandable why there isn't.
Get it before Nintendo shuts it down

RESISTANCE IS FUTILE.
I love #46. Pretty sweet CBFD Windy remix.
@gardevoir7 Nintendo generally lets fan albums go provided they aren't done commercially. Check out OverClocked Remix which has released dozens of great fan albums over the years (a lot based on Nintendo made games) with no interference from Nintendo. Nintendo even allowed a limited physical commercial release of the fan Twilight Princess album from Zelda ReOrchastrated.

Why?
5pm can't come soon enough. Looking forward to getting home and downloading it.
Just downloaded! I can't believe they're giving so many great tracks out for free though
Sweet... Amazing work.
Huh, Bandcamp page says the group that put it together is from San Diego, neat.
Nice. I might have to have a look.
I have my own soundtrack for the N64, along with the others.
Ahh, This is one I'll definitely give a look at. Quite a fan of these kind of albums. Speaking of game remixes, I don't know if any of you have heard of "SiIvaGunner", they've released a few video game music albums.
They're pretty 'high quality', shall we say?
Great news, thanks artists to share your love for the world!!!
Wow,the scary piano from SM64 made even scarier.
@TreonsRealm - Like you, I enjoy the music at OCR & ZREO, and greatly appreciate Nintendo's relaxed attitude to the rights issue.
However, of the three "Goldeneye 007" tracks here, Uncle & The Bacon's "007" is a fairly straight-forward performance of the original Bond theme, rather than a cover of the music provided by Graeme Norgate, Grant Kirkhope and Robin Beanland for the game. If the (famously protective) film producers have any say in the matter, then that particular track might be removed.
From what I've listened to so far, this is a great collection though. It's particularly good to see some of the lesser known (and lesser covered) games being given an airing. Congratulations and thanks to all concerned.
I'm a simple man: I see Rozen made a song, I'm downloading the whole thing...
Very nice. When health allows I want to work and release a N64 tribute album of my own before the year ends.
I NEED A TRIBUTE A TRIBUTE TO MY TUSHIE
Worth it just for the Waverace one.
