Another week, another set of Media Create chart results out of Japan; they continue positive trends for the 3DS and its latest releases.
In the software charts two 3DS titles hold the top two spots - first of all we have Yo-kai Watch 3 inching towards one million overall sales. A newcomer from GungHo is next in the form of Puzzle & Dragons X; it was well received by Famitsu recently, but launch sales of 87,510 are well below the half million plus units that Puzzle & Dragons Z shifted on its debut. Some evergreen Wii U and 3DS titles are found further down the top 20, with Toukiden 2 doing well across Sony's systems.

Moving on to hardware, the New 3DS LL (XL) saw a boost, with Puzzle & Dragons X no doubt contributing; there wasn't much movement elsewhere, with Wii U falling back towards the levels it sold prior to July's new Splatoon bundle.
- New 3DS LL – 24,118 (21,463)
- PlayStation 4 – 20,567 (20,021)
- PlayStation Vita – 11,016 (11,363)
- Wii U – 5,228 (5,864)
- New 3DS – 3,973 (4,355)
- PlayStation 3 – 1,049 (1,006)
- 3DS – 783 (725)
- 3DS LL – 169 (189)
- Xbox One – 68 (55)
A decent set of results overall, even if the Puzzle & Dragons and - to an extent - Yo-kai Watch IPs are struggling to maintain the 3DS momentum seen in previous series entries. It'll be interesting to see whether the Super Famicom Limited Edition New 3DS LL has much of an impact next week, albeit it was sold in relatively limited quantities.

Whoa puzzles and dragons X did way less than I expected...they better localize it.
Nice to see that Xbox One had a sales boost from last week.
From 55 to 68.
Keeps the good times rolling for 3DS, meanwhile the Wii U is doing rolling of a different kind off a cliff.
It's nice to see that Splatoon still makes the charts over a year after release! Good to see Pokémon up there too.
To be fair, Puzzles & Dragon X has to deal with a couple Juggernaughts on that list. Omega Force + Idolmaster + Ys 8 & Yokai Watch 3 still holding strong after their debuts only a few weeks ago...something had to get the short "I'll wait a few weeks for that" stick...
is yokai watch 3 selling allot worse/slower than 2?
Puzzle & Dragons X is amazing. If you liked Z you will love all the new things in this one. To bad sales are bad in Japan. I still hope this game gets localized.
I had not played on my new 3DS XL for a couple weeks then this week I picked up a copy of Kirby Planet Robobot and the Nintendo select 19.99 Zelda OCT and I have to say both are simply Amazing , Amazing titles these titles made me realize the 3DS is my favorite all time system I love mine and to anyone who has yet to get one you REALLY don't know what your missing, I only hope Nintendo don't do away with the 3D hand held over the NX unless NX has 3D which to me is the best way to play video games hands down .
@samuelvictor
Yup. Like when Western think some Japanese things are weirdo, so does with Japanese think some Western stuffs are weirdo too.
Bombas all around.
Really hoping the new P&D game makes it over here, loved Z.
@Spade_the_prinny Yup, it has not even outsold yokai watch 2 first week sales.
