Miitomo is an app that has rather dropped away from the public consciousness, earning a fast start before rapidly losing user engagement and interest. Though updates have improved it a fair bit, the overriding concept has struggled to capture the imagination.
Nevertheless, it is an app with noble intentions, structuring its question and answer approach to help friends learn more about each other. Some of the marketing of the game in Japan, particularly, has made this point well.
In quite a contrast to the "OMG you guys, look at this cute Miifoto I made!" approach of adverts in the West, a mini-series of videos in Japan aim to highlight how the app can help friends connect. Though in Japanese, it's not too hard to figure out the overall message of the series.
With the third entry just released, we thought we'd share them all below:
Let us know what you think of these videos - are they a good way to promote Miitomo?

I think it's a pretty good concept and it is fun but I have only got 5 friends on my miitomo and I have invited others but they do not see the need for any more social media unfortunately, additionally they won't even take the time to see what it is. Kind of makes me sad.
Miitomo remains a daily routine for me just for the points in the hope that something great will eventually arrive on My Nintendo.
Miitomo is still a thing? Huh...
Not keen on the ads, personally. I'd rather interpret things for myself, than be presented with a forced conception of what advertisers would like me to think. Having a very Marge Simpson internal growl while watching.
Still using Miitomo every day. My mii has some awesome costumes. Living in hope for further integration and better rewards on My Nintendo. Excuse me while I slip into my mermaid suit and take a photo.
I only use 3 mins a day for my 15 points. What a load of sh
I expected them to be 30-second adverts. I don't have the patience to sit through this.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE I'm 95% sure this My Nintendo is basically in beta. With the NX, better rewards, cloud gaming, and all the other features they promised would come will come. My Nintendo was made for the NX, they just gave us a little bonus until then.
C'mon when is there going to be some proper interesting news!! C'mon Nintendo, get your finger out and start the awareness with the NX.
I only use it occasionally as none of my friends have even tried it... some just aren't interested, while others don't think it's worth the space it takes up on the phone (they've been tight on space for ages, and they barely managed to free enough space up for Pokemon Go).
Wow, those are pretty high concept and marketing-wise, aiming at a relatively specific demographic. Clearly not cheap to produce and all around pretty sweet.
My only question is: Being so long, what market are they airing these in?
Ah, Miitomo. The little Nintendo app that couldn't.

any sources on that or is just your opinion posing as a fact?
@AlternateButtons It's also still not available here in Scandinavia.
Seeing how poorly the app is doing, I guess we will never see it.
