Video: Catch the Second Episode of the Paper Mario: Color Splash 'Rescue V' Series

Doesn't really sell the game to me I'm afraid.

Power Rangers explosion for the win.

I like them, and I very well may get the game, but I would've rather gotten TTYD or SPM 2 rather than this (though I'm not saying it's a bad game).

If there will be more characters like them who have a distinct personality and bring humor to the game, I may consider getting this game. Yes, I'd rather have newly created characters (or at least any) than Toads and yes, I'd rather have enemies have the classic PM art style. But I'll gladly buy it if I read good things about it and see things that I want from a PM.

However, the only joke that seems to be in these videos is to advertise the different methods Mario uses to torture the Toads and them getting zero attention from the media. I don't know, it's a good start but get more creative with these outside of that one joke.

It looks brilliant and my friend who played it at gamescom recently said it was fantastic with the same deep humour as ttyd.
A must buy for me!

I am also a fan of these vids. I have nearly finished PM64 on the Wii U VC, and will be playing TTYD next on my GC. Never played it before so will see if it deserves all this commotion I keep hearing.

Regardless, I'm loving the look of Colour Splash so already have it preordered. Can't wait.

I can't help but keep the feeling that this is just an improved Sticker Star. That's my problem with it, I'd rather have another platformer Paper Mario like the one on Wii if the series really had to follow a different path. This "defeat enemies to get ink and coins so you can spend more ink and coins on more enemies" system isn't pleasant.

Game looks excellent. Better every time I see it.

I'd rather they "rescue" the series by allowing unique characters, new races, battle partners, deeper narratives and new villains. A man can dream...

The game still looks beautiful.
But these Toads will be nothing else than abilities that you unlock to reach certain areas. I highly doubt they will have as much character as their video promotion brothers.

I definitely want to go and buy this game when it comes out. Hopefully, it will be fun to me and that's all I could ask for.

A nice tribute to Super Sentai. Since they had tribute to Power Rangers (the Axem Rangers from Super Mario RPG) before, it's good they made homage to the series that made Power Rangers popular. Even had a theme song in Super Sentai style too.
